Round 14: Saints vs Cats

Post: # 824413Post bakes »

Interesting to look at the stats for the round 14 game, in what resembled a Grand Final by the way it was played. It was a tough finals like type contest.

Things to note:

Players who stood up:
- Hayes
- Dal Santo
- Gardiner

Players who went missing:
- Geary
- Milne
- Ray
- Schneider

I guess in a sense, stats wise, it did mimick last night's game.
The cream rise to the top.

My changes for next week.

OUT: Eddy
IN: Dempster

The rest remains as is.

I expect Milne to go missing again, but I would keep him in for his X-factor.
Ray continues to have question marks in the GF type games such as last nite and round 14.
Schneider is still a gun and needs to stay.
Geary/Eddy just aren't ready yet. In comes Dempster for toughness, fitness, and versatility (could even play a forward type role again).

I think it will be more tough to play the Cats at the G as well compared to Etihad.

Need Ball to fire up

Important they don't go through easily tonight. They are going to be really tough opponent if they are at full strength.
