It has been revealed that Elle McPherson has been offering the Saints some words of advice throughout the finals series.

Ross Lyon revealed Elle is a long standing friend of Nathan Burke, having followed the former St Kilda ball winner’s career since a photo shoot in 1990. As Ross said "I thought it was timely and appropriate for Elle to address the boys. She's been on the biggest stages of World Fashion and her advice to the guys was spot on. I don't want to elaborate too much, but it was really focusing on the importance of bringing your A-Game when it counts. We are really grateful for her assistance."

Elle was reluctant to talk about the meeting, saying "Look it’s really between myself and the players. I am not sure how it was leaked, but I did address the boys last weekend. I don't think it was anything they didn't know already, but really just focusing on how to make sure your hair and nails are as good as they can be, because if they look good, everything else just tends to look after itself.â€
