membership query

Post: # 821192Post *BaLLy iS BeST* »

apologies if this has been asked before!

I'm on the monthly payment plan thing to pay for my membership this year, and it is due to be taken out of my account on the 15th of each month.
I have been on uni placement for 6 weeks so haven't been able to work, and therefore haven't been payed for 6 weeks.

I'm just wondering what generally happens if the club can't take the payment out of my account if there isn't enough money in there? I have a feeling that may have been the case this week as I forgot to make sure there was enough. I can't get onto the membership department to check so just wondering if anyone knows?

(slightly freaking out they will cancel my membership....they cant do that right? haha)

i will miss you bally. but i guess you just didn't want to be here.

heres hoping you are regretting that choice on that last day in september 2010 - go saints.

My credit card expiry date ran out this year without me realising to notify them and they couldn't take the funds out.

They rang me about it and cleared it up.

I'm assuming if they have issues they will contact you first before cancelling the membership.

Ring 'em and explain rather than wait and then complain.

Depending on your bank, if its a direct debit some will honour the payment for you, but then slug you with an insufficient funds fee which will show up on your next statement, if you don't discover it sooner when you find your account balance lower than expected.
This happened to my daughter recently. The Commonwealth bank charged her $75 (yes, $75!!!) for a superannuation deduction she forgot to allow for!
