No, and I think it is decidedly distasteful for threads like this to appear whilst we are wishing/hoping/praying for Ball and others to play to the best of their ability to win us the Prelim Final in 2 days time and then that elusive premiership 1 week later.

Why not save all this trade nonsense until after our season is finished?

We would probably be stupid not to.

Port Adelaide fans however would laugh at us for even suggesting their club may consider it

Old habits die hard apparently...isn't it September?

Also, there is a snowflakes chance in hell of him joining the Saints, and one thread on the subject already...go back to sleep and don't post again 'til March 2010.

Melbourne's general manager football operations, Chris Connolly must be salivating at the prospect of getting Burgoyne.

He thinks: "Gee if we give them our No.1 priority pick, and our first round pick No2., that should about do it.
Tops any deal I did when I was at Freo.
He will be a player for us for maybe 3 years.
I am a superstar trader."

Let's revisit this after he wins the most clearances, gets his hands on the most contested footy, and lays the most tackles this Friday night 8-)

Agree with MM, poor timing....and if you couldn't resist, why couldn't this just have been added to the other burgoyne thread anyhow?

totally inappropriate to talk about anything to do with trades when we still have at least 1 more game left in the season.

Let's see now who would I rather have

1/ A courageous St.Kilda icon and former captain that gives his all for the team or..

2/ A talented but injured vice captain that deserts the ship at the first sign of trouble

hmmmm...tough one!!

I've never seen a bad St.Kilda player - that's just how they are.
