I'm working alongside a Western Bulldogs supporter, so I have to be very diplomatic as I'm mindful that this could all go pear shape and bite me on the backside.

However, I often go in search of other Saints supporters within the complex and today one of the most cautious, guarded, and measured Saints supporter told me that as far as he is concerned the Saints will be more than ok on Friday night.

Mind you, another of my fellow Sainters tells me the butterflies in his stomach have turned into birds such are his nerves at the moment.

I'm starting to feel sick in the guts and just wish the game would get here and we'd all know whether we're there for the GF.

I have faith. I know the numbers. I know our record against the opposition. I BELIEVE so much it hurts.

But still my heart is rattling like a machine gun, my arms feel numb and tingly, I'm forgetful, words bumble out in no apparent coherent order, I'm a bit cranky, I've said a few prayers despite my agnosticism (just in case)and, frankly, my digestion ain't what it should be...

If nothing else, '09 Saints, do it to avoid me further cluttering up our hospital system...

Know what you mean thinline ,ive got the week off , been lisening to sen 24/7 as i search this site ,saints central ,big pond,and big footy for which i got a red card because of a north asshole.Trying not to think about friday as i sleep but its doing my head in.

I was going to start a "Sick of feeling Sick" post

Have had a nervous gut and a feeling of a tight knot there since Friday night when the Dogs belted the Lions.

Finding it hard to think of anything else and are having big problems concentrating at work..or not feeling incredibly restless at home...Not helping when SEN and the rest of the media are almost playing violin music when they mention the doggies and their tragic history....

Tragic???..how does one freaking flag and 3 losing prelims in the last 5 years sound

The things I keep telling myself is that we are a different side which has passed every serious test this year and have a full compliment of fit players....and we have Ross Lyon ...Probably the most comforting thought of all.

Have just seen too many disappointments in my 45 years and the subconscious scars take a bit of shaking...

Know that there is but one cure...and one cure only.

Hearing "OH WHEN THE SAINTS" after the final siren will make it all better.

Ahhh this site brings closure that i'm not the only nutter. My emotions have me thinking i'm stupid (which i won't deny) 'cause i'm just a spectator and have no impact on the outcome of the game - so why is it affecting me!! Why does this game have to matter to me so much!! I can't stand it, one minute i want to analyse the game and the players and the match ups, next minute i don't want to talk about or even hear the word footy at all.
I want Friday to be here and now and then i don't want it to come at all because it really is make or break. I can't handle this, there is so much pressure and so much expectation.
Just do us all a favour Saints, and win the bloody thing!!

I an also suffering. It was nice to have the week off, but as soon as we had an opponent locked in last Friday night, they butterflies started. Not great when it seems to take about an hour and a half to fall asleep each night thinking about our chances of a win...

I think it might have even been a little quiet on the boards around here. I have found myself much less involved in reading the media on the Saints this week as it just makes me more nervous. Coming here and sharing with you guys helps ease the burden....although, some of the posts and posters actually make it worse too.

Bring on Friday....

BTW, my mum has always been negative on our chances...but this year she thinks we are different...and going to go all the way to a premiership. Nice...for what its worth!
