Ok, so I just logged into my ticketmaster account order history to just make sure it was there.

The tickets come up as:

category - GFREGO
section - 93
row - w-y

anyone else have any different to this ?

Oh...you will get a seat.

Our social club numbers fit well within a GF club allocation.
What is your source?

* From what I have seen written the number of tickets allocated from the competing clubs allocation exactly equals the number of SC Members.* I have not seen the breakdown defined, but it would seem most likely that this includes standing room as well as restricted view seats.

If so themn unless some SC Members do not take up their allocation some SC will be offered standing room.
Last year the competing clubs were allocated only 11.5% of tickets...11.5% of the MCG basically, so around 11,500.

I cant find the link, but this year the afl was intending to stretch that to near 13% in the best case scenario. So around 13000 tickets.

They list 16,000-23,000 on that official document. Of course that is between the TWO competing clubs.

If we got 10k allocated to us, I reckon we may have dramas.
12k would probably do it. 13k most definately would cover all the Social club members.

If the AFL reduce our allocation to below eleven thousand and people miss out....Well there goes the ONLY selling point in forking our for an SC membership.

Way back in 1997, our allocation was actually increased. :P

I am not very concerned about this....I know the AFL loves to dud the fkn supporters, but I think we have done the right thing by limiting SC availability.

Found the link:

http://www.afl.com.au/portals/0/2009/fi ... 310809.doc

As I said, I'm a positive person :P
and we'll be in a bigger pile of doo doo if its the 16000 between two clubs
8000 is pathetic
cant see that happening...but s*** they cover all bases in the 1, 2 and 3 statements under the allocation breakdown huh

try going to order history (obviously)
should ask u to log in again
then when it logs you in (again) go down to the bit that says:
"Search for Phone or Online Orders"

put in the phone number and CC number u used to reg for the GF ticket hit enter and it should flick over to that same page but now it will have the order detail with the order number and what the order was for (mcg GF rego) in the top area under the title:
"Ticketmaster Order History"

Bigred...dont panic mate....that was 11,500 PER CLUB

Exhibit A...from the Clubs info site..

All members who register will be given a Ticketmaster order number confirming that your registration has been completed. Please do not call the Club to check if you have been successful. As long as you have followed these instructions, you will be guaranteed a Grand Final ticket should St Kilda compete.

The Club sought an assurance from the AFL months ago that a MINIMUM of 11,500 tix would be available to each competing clubs members..and set the SC cap accordingly

There we go..that keep all the nervous nellies happy now???????????

My understanding is it's a minimum 11,500 tickets per club, but could increase to 13,000 tickets.

The AFL can take away the seats proportion and allocate standroom thou.

My message was different - it said

Weird.

Ok ... do Matrixcutter's bit "try going to order history (obviously)
should ask u to log in again
then when it logs you in (again) go down to the bit that says:
"Search for Phone or Online Orders"

put in the phone number and CC number u used to reg for the GF ticket hit enter and it should flick over to that same page but now it will have the order detail with the order number and what the order was for (mcg GF rego) in the top area under the title:
"Ticketmaster Order History"

Then ... do the bit I said ... "click on the Order # thingy" (the actual Order number) ... hopefully that works.

i just ran the club
the fella was helpful :)

i asked him how many registered for the September Saint thingy
he said: its around the 1,100 mark

i then asked if he knew how many of the 11,500 SC members had reg today to pre book their GF tickets

his answer was: the last time we checked it was around the 10,100 mark.

he did not say when that was (as in what time they last checked)
i would think that they would be checking at least every hr or so

We're in.. 2 seats- best available excluding standing (my wife will be 5 months pregnant).

My wife got it organised this morning & said that it came up with some mention of a category 2 ticket, which we took to mean 'Prime' seats.

Anyone else see something similar?
