Does Max take Johnno
Assuming that theDogs get over the Lions..
Does Max come in for Johnno?
I cannot see the Dogs getting over us if Johnno does not kick a bag.

The Lions??saint75 wrote:Few concerns with the dogs after last weeks game. Brisbane is such an unknown quantity that you are never quite sure of what team is going to turn up on the day.
If the Dogs can shut down akka, they are half a chance.
Anyway on the Dogs...I think they went in overconfident and the cats jumped them. They are abetter team than they showed this weekend.
I think also that that game showed up how badly they need a genuine key forward. I expect Hall to be a Doggie next year.

I agree the Doggies need a genuine goal kicking big man in their side.
Imagine how scary they would be with a Roo, Kosi or Brown at the pointy end of the ground

Think Max could come in against Brown/ Bradshaw if Brisbane get up....not so sure against dogs...would lean towards not required.
Personally I'd say Aker is the one to stop for the dogs...he had the Cats worried enough to move Enright onto him when he kicked 2 quick ones to make things tight at the beginning of the 3rd Q and could easily have been 3.

If Ross is serious about his horses for courses approach, Zac should not be selected as he simply does not have a match up against the Dogs.
Blake- Hahn
Max- Johnno
Gilbert- Murphy
Baker- Aker
Fisher- Welsh
Raph- Hill

Blake-Everitt

Bulldogs will play a resting ruck forward for a latge percentage of he game, A because they usually do and B against our full field press you must have a long option to create a stoppage at the very least.
Oh yeah, I think Everitt will come in this week for Welsh or Hahn.
Would love to see Max play but I cant see it happening unless there is an injury or we are playing Geelong, Mooney Hawkins Ottens may see us need another stopper.
Maybe this year?

Do you know this? Is he reading the site?
Why do you idiots have to rub it in.
This is a football forum.
Get over it, Max is not part of our 2009 finals campaign and has done very little this year, full stop.
Presuming he is reading this??? That would make him feel a lot better to know.

Did you see the footage of him in the rooms before yesterday's game.rexy wrote:Bernard Shakey wrote:Max is unhappy enough.

If you did you will know he is unhappy.
This is a football forum. Yes it is. I understand some people are only interested in personalities, not the team.
Max has been a great servant of the club for a long time, but we are about winning a premiership this year, not rewarding long service.

i agree hes the danger man. and i agree max is the only guy suitable for him.... maybe dempster on him but that could end in tears (darren jarman style) . i reckon id be very very tempted to bring max in just for stevie j damage control.
im kind of hoping stevie j is injured by the way.

Fisher is a defender who provides run, but running he is too slow,
He can not go with a fast leading forward and reacts too slowly.
Max is the best player St Kilda has for a fast leading forward because of his closing speed and on Johnno he also has a height advantage.
But my fear remains with Max's ability to get through a game without breaking down.
