What were you yelling most?

Post: # 813623Post markp »

I went for "Pressure Saints!", "Great play St Kilda!" and simply "Lenny Hayes!" a fair bit.... pulled out a "Stay down b*tch" when BJ bumped Daisy....

How bout others... or some overheard?

Half way through 4th quarter it was:

"Bye Bye"

and

"Could you keep your heads down as you're leaving? I can't see Milney going for goal!"

Anybody hear any booing when we started to chip the ball around at various stages?

I didn't hear any which is an interesting change from earlier times.

seeing I was surrounded by ferals and they were bagging Rooey any chance they could get.

I made sure sure I yelled at every chance

RIEWOLDT YOU ARE A CHAMPION

and my line of the day which seemed to annoy all the collingwood supporters around me for some reason was when Swan missed in the last qrt.

"Oh Swan Dive"

ALSO! Including the saints supporters that were behind me we were cheering on raph everytime he did something good.

As soon as we applied pressure they folded like a cheap suit.

I was up high in the middle of the members and had a good view of all the Saints in the bay directly beside him when he was lining up for that goal, just supporting him and willing him to kick it... shame he missed.

"Rooooo!!!!!!!"
"Out of the centre Saints, here we go"
"Lock 'em down again"

My favourite was an old guy sitting near us when Daisey was going for his one of his goals:
"Ohh he's got this one. Definately going through. Can't miss. Yep, he's got this one....oh, he missed"

We must have been sitting in the same area.

Sitting in the members, I was quite surprised at the large Collingwood contingent on level 1. Who would have thought the toothless ferals could have afforded an MCC membership. Hell, I was surprised that most of them got past the gate!

After having to endure all match the following:

"Have a cry Riewoldt"
"Don't touch them, your not allowed to touch them" (referring to St Kilda)
"Your a dud Kosi"

We got told to sit down whenever we jumped up for a goal from the boys (which we ignored and jumped higher and shouted louder). All the while, we remained composed and polite, ignoring the filth behind us. UNTIL that final last quarter. My lord, did we let rip after that!

No insults to Collingwood were required (as I had my son with me). All we needed to do was clap and chant 'St Kilda'. Then we started singing the song. They left about a minute into our rendition of the song. As they were filing out we waved and told them politely 'good bye' and 'see you next year'. The barrage of foul language that followed our waves goodbye to them was priceless! The more they carried on, the harder we laughed at them. The wave and the chant was way more effective than any insults I could have given to the filth supporters or their team. Still smiling now as I remember the look on their faces as we were waving them goodbye. Pure gold!

I must say, we did have a Collingwood family directly in front of us that were a pleasure to sit near. We chatted to them throughout the game and they wished us well for the rest of the finals.

"You're a dud Rocca".
"Back to the fat farm".

"You're a dud Cloke - from a family of duds".

"You should be jail Didak".

"Who are you going to bash tonight Dane?".

"Great perm Dale".

"Statless" (to Neon Leon in honour of his famous statless grand final)

And of course

"How good is Lenny Hayes?"
"That's fantastic from Riewoldt"
