YOU LOOKED FABULOUS AT THE 'G'
No doubt about it the decision to have so much white in our scarves has been the correct one IMHO. All those members proudly wearing their scarves is just so eye catching - the image on TV of you all in the stands was stupendous.
The black and white of Collingwood didn't stand out very much at all.....but gee the red, WHITE and black scarves and caps just glittered
Great effort by the marketing group at the club to come up with this decision to make our supporters stand out so. by going with the white......even tho some criticised it early in the year
I just can't wait to see those scarves waving truimphantly on the last Saturday in September

We were saying exactly that on Sunday Loris...Im wondering if the Club did some sort of video / picture test, because the scarves stand out magnificently
Shame really we cant just readopt them for '10.....but I guiess we have to move with trends in scarf fashion
On the other end of the fashion scale, kudos to the bloke who was wearing what looked like a hand-knitted Freo scarf at the pub on Sunday. 100 points for bravery minus several million for fashion sense

I was up! Thats me with the black sleeves clapping above my head. Hubby is the bald head with arms up right behind Rooey, and two daughters in between us. And the camera caught them just after they sat back down.Foz wrote:The picture on the front page of 'The Age' today about says it all with the scarves n colour.

Was a bit of a shock to see that pic first thing this morning, though: not very flattering!

I think it will be less.Moorabbin Saints wrote:If we go with this design next year (dominated the poll on saintscentral) it will stand out heaps and will be very unique.
We have had scaves with equal tricolors in the past..but this year with extra white it stands out so much more. so I agree with the OP.
Flying the World in comfort thanks to FF Points....
But I think the way this one is striped as opposed to standard ones may make it stand out also.saintsRrising wrote:I think it will be less.Moorabbin Saints wrote:If we go with this design next year (dominated the poll on saintscentral) it will stand out heaps and will be very unique.

I resent that. I was one of those corporates in 97. Two rows away from last, top of the ponsford stand.saint66au wrote:The truly sickening thing is that if that pic was taken again on Sept 26th, the crowd in the background will be a bunch of corporates who might look up from their Fin Review long enough to remember to applaud..
Meanwhile, up in the nosebleeds...
the real good thing about being at the corporate event , was afterwards downing 10 double bourbon and cokes, before 10 black sambucca shots for free, so I never had to remember that day again.
The trip to mens gallery later that night helped as well.
