ALF website is reporting that Ball and Max trained with the Reserves and this means they will not play this week.
Common sense says they played Satruday and would have a harder session and be at a different stage in recovery than those in the Senior group who played Sunday.
They may not play but would not read a lot in to this, especially being an open session

God calls meetings in strange places.
The more you know, the more you know you don't know.
When I was a young child, I knew that I knew so much about so much.
Now that I am old and know so much more, I know that I know so much about so little, and so little about so much.

You are going lose your job to somebody who uses AI.
Your company is not going to go out of business because of AI.
Your company is going to go out of business because another company used AI.

Article also states that Ball hasnt played since round 15.......
"Ball, 25 and a former captain of the club, has not played for the Saints since round 15 while Hudghton, 33 on Wednesday, was omitted after the loss to Essendon in round 20."
....Open sessions seem to be mickey mouse anyways....Its probably better they trained with the VFL.

Well, heres the write-up.
Quiet morning down at Moorabbin, the sun just breaking through the clouds to shine it's spring blessings upon the loyal Saints who venture down to the old home for a look at our boys.
The VFL boys came out at 9am to a small number of us for some laps. Luke Ball and David Armitage trained with the 2s. Ball looked fit and had no trouble running laps along the ground. However him training in the 2s is probably an indicator that he may not play this weekend.
Max Hudghton was seen on the bikes and treadmills upstairs doing some work on his legs and so was Michael Gardiner.
After a while Hudghton came out onto the ground to train with the VFL squad. It was amusing that he had trouble finding a group during the handball drills and looked quite alone out there until he got into a group.
At 10am the seniors came out onto the ground and did some light running, jogging and stretching. Did some handball drills as well but nothing serious. The boys are in high spirits and much laughter and enjoyment was observed by the small amount of spectators. Milney especially enjoying himself out on the park.
Michael Gardiner did some alone running along the ground to work on his hamstring. I'm happy to report that he seemed to be running without difficulty and didn't appear to be struggling with an injury. Should be an inclusion for this week.
The big training news was the lack of a showing from our captain St. Nick. I can confirm through my sources (god I should like Hutchy) that he arrived at the ground but did not train with the rest of the group. Feel free to speculate and rumour mill that as much as you can.
While most of the boys did drills Andrew McQualter, Michael Gardiner and Adam Schnieder did jogging laps of the ground. Nick Dal Santo and Clinton Jones were the unfortunate victims of the handball drill, having to line up and get balls kicked into the back of them, Jonesy copping a good one.
Wasn't a mega serious training session, more a small fitness session for the fans and the players were happy to oblidge with signatures and pictures with the loyal sainters at the ground. I managed to add Jason Gram and Sam Gilbert onto my jumper. Leigh asked how I was and I responded with "doesn't matter how I am, it's how you are " which got a giggle.
Heres some snaps from the meet and greet.

All seems well done at Moorabbin today

Great write up Nattens...
I agree, that spirits were high and there was a lot of laughter amongst the main group. Wasn't as many there as I expected given it's the finals this week, but the early training session probably caught a few by surprise.
Looks like efforts have been made to cater for the spectators in the coming weeks, with the majority of the land now being completely levelled around the oval.
Gardiner did look good, and after jogging his laps, he worked on his kicking etc. He had a few shots at goal, and his kicking action looked great.
King and Joey were late to join the group, not sure why. They missed the jogging and stretching, and arrived in time for the handball drills.
Personally I was hoping to see Luke out there with the main group, but on reflection I guess Ross wouldn't be advertising the fact that he could potentially be in the plans for this weekend.
Roo was there, it's hard to miss that stunning Merc in the carpark. I happened to tune in for the press conference on SEN, and it was mentioned by Ross in the press conference that they (I assume he included Roo in this) were delayed due to the extensive player review from the weekend?
