Question for the MCC members in this group.

Are restricted members able to purchase visitor's tickets for St Kilda vs Collingwood?

I want to get two :D

I've always gone in to buy finals tickets in person and been happy to get seats I want, but this year starting work at 8 means I can't do that. Hubby thought he'd try phoning from work. Does anyone know how flexible this option is? I don't like the way you cant pick and choose seats on the net. Are the operaters able/willing to search seating options for you if you book over the phone?

I always use the Net...people in a queue at Ticket outlets drive me nuts spending 15 minutes umming and ahhing about where they want to sit.

There'll be a logjam online for the first few minutes..then it will settle down. Far more peple will be buying "Premium" seats this year as they account for a much bigger % of seats than they did last year. "Prime" and "Standard" seats are pretty much all nosebleed

Internet here...been pretty lucky in past years to get fairly decent seats.

The only problem is not being disturbed at work while I am pressing the refresh button.

I think yes....but check on www.mcc.org.au

Hint: for an extra $10 per person, you can get a reserved seat.....4,000 are available in the reserve on Level 1 and Level 4...they will sell like hotcakes and will all be gone I reckon during tomorrow, so get in quick!

Visitor tickets for adults are $64 ($74 for a reserved seat)...bargain! (NOT!).

I prefer to go in person for 3 reasons

1) This reason may be wrong !
But definitely on the internet they only seem to offer seats in certain bays at any given time, and they often try to flog off the worst tickets first.
I am hoping (but I might be wrong) that in person you can point to where you want to sit (but maybe the agencies are also subject to the same - we are only selling in these couple of bays restriction ????).

Two other good reasons
2) On the internet if you are buying a group of tickets you can only buy them in a single row.
I plan to get 8 tickets but want them in two rows of 4 (behind each other).
You can do that at an agency but NOT over the internet.

3) Finals are deadly serious, I want a real official ticket in my hand asap so nothing can go wrong. I get nervous about scanning some barcode on a printout - I want reassurance I will get in.

Wondering if there is still that option??

MS word- and Just ensure you don't get any spaces before or after-

as I said I did a triall page yesterday- for todays game without following all the way through and Ticketek had the barcode number at the top of the page which may mean you don't have to re set,

other suggestion- go via the Saints Link so you end up straight into the AFL? CLub members area rather than having to choose.

ticketek page

Ok. Seems the opinion on here is that internet's the way to go? I've used ticketmaster before but not ticketek. Do I need to set up an account or anything to be ready to go?
