Bad tempered Saints

Post: # 806592Post goodie »

Goddard and Schneider by far the worst offenders. These guys really need to get their tempers in check, far too often they cost us with angry outbursts. I hope Lyon and McQualter gave Goddard a good spray for costing us a shot at goal today.

In the third quarter BJ kiked from the goal square straight to a Melb player, then didn't get across in time to cover his man as the ball came back.

He then seemed to be gesticulating and complaining to team-mates for what looked like two bad errors on his behalf.

Roo also cost us a 50 for giving the ump a spray, then later gave another for no penalty

Got a point there, he's gotten into the bad habit of lashing out at the umpires after not taking a mark. Yes he's usually been scragged in the process, but umpires can be a petty breed (speaking from experience).

Looked to me like he was gesticulating to the umpire wondering why he called play on after he took one step forward

Agree tho not one of BJ's better games for mine

Roo had his back turned to play, which was about 5m away, complaining to the umpire when he wasn't paid the mark near the end of the 3rd quarter. It would have been embarrassing if the ball had come out to him

Mini had to get him focused again.

Roo gave the umpire a fearful spray in the second quarter resulting in a free kick 100m up the ground.

I was sitting in the second tier at that end of the ground and defintely heard the spray without fully understanding what he said.

I had thought this was getting out of his game

Very disappointing

Hopefully he will know that now or it will be pointed out to him quickly

According to the TV commentary, Roo apologized to the ump later on in the match for the spray he'd given them. I thought that was a class act.

WRONG.

Right in front of us.

bj took a mark took one step (while players had been waltzing about all day after taking marks) the dopey maggot called "play on" and bj then made a poor mistake that resluted in a mark and goal to Jarrah.

bj was not talking or having a go at players but at the UMPIRE.

If you people want to bag him - at least bag him for the right reasons

Well just saw it on the replay and BJ played on and kicked poorly then chose to not run to Jarrah and then whinged to our players. Thats how i saw it at the ground and on the replay.

Well I saw it live about 40 metres in front of me. He got called to play on - kicked poorly up the middle and then the ball went straight to Jarrah about thirty metres from Goddard.

Now if bj was Ushain Bolt he may have gotten within 5 metres of Jarrah. he had no chance of getting there.

Watched him closely and had words with the umpire - then may have spoken to some teammates.

And thats how it unfolded in front of me about 40 metres away. But hey you I couldn't see what he was saying to the other players. Maybe if they had of given him a n option it wouldn't have cost a goal.

When BJ kicked it Jarrah was 2 metres from him and then Jarrah ran away whilst BJ was having a go at our players for not making space even though an average kick would have found one of the three players there. I was 50 metres away at the most.
