SAINTS are kidding themselves...

Post: # 806383Post WinnersOnly »

SAINTS are kidding themselves if they think the way they are playing will win either of their finals. Complacency is like a cancer it just keeps spreading and the whole team has it at the moment.

Embarrassing to watch a team detoriate like the SAINTS have...

Not thrown in the towel just dealing with reality that they will continue to break our hearts...

Agree - has nothing to do with being a good supporter.
The reality is if they play like this, they're out in straight sets!!
Very, very disappointing.

So are clowns. But they can both be evil bastards when they want too

Yeah nice try.

We havn't played our best today and why would we want to?

We are 1 week out from the finals, guaranteed top spot. The only thing I want out of this game is no injuries.

Incredible the opposition only kick 10 goals and we are crap and have no chance in the finals

Seriously some supporters have no idea

The Dees put their cue in the rack, after realising they may have stuffed the extra pick if they kept it up...

This last quarter means nothing.

Melbourne have given up. Going for the priority pick.

it may not mean anything but it can build confidence and momentum. No injuries obviously the key!

I do agree with that.

Seeing a few players getting some touch and confidence now.

Heck last time i checked footy was played over 4 quarters - great to see that we are finishing off the game full of running

So, we won easy, 9 goals...is this thread still valid?

I think no.

Epic panic = epic fail.

Looked like an off day to me...bad bounces, spilled marks, tackles that didn't stick, some dicky disposal, and we won fine. Tough call to say we'll be out in straight sets! Where's the evidence?

We have been flat for over a month now and we needed to show some intensity which we didn't again today apart from 10 minutes in the last qtr when the Demons slowed.

The finals is starting over again and we need to get back to what we had early in the season to continue until the last Saturday in September and take away the big prize.

We can take a lot of things away from today as it was our first visit to the G this year.

\...which I think goes some way to explaining tackles not sticking...there is just enough room for the opposition to spread their attack. Having said that, we certainly looked like a team marking time.

We earned the luxury to take the foot off in the last few weeks.
Time for round two.

I'm happy to put the last 3 weeks behind us providing that next week we show the form we were showing 10 rounds ago.

The real stuff begins now, have to make it count.

Lets just hope that they are conserving energy & making sure that we go into next week with a fit list because in the last 3 weeks we have been very ordinary. If Melbourne had of really wanted to win we would have been under the pump.I know finals are a differnt game & I think we can still go all the the way but we need to focus very quickly imo

f*** off you spineless snivelling little fairy. You're a disgrace.

"The inches we need are everywhere around us. They're in every break in the game. Every minute, every second. On this team we fight for that inch. On this team we tear ourselves and everyone around us to pieces for that inch. We claw with our fingernails for that inch. Because we know when we add up all those inches that's gonna make the f***in' difference between winning and losing! Between living and dying!'
