collingwood or bulldogs . .who's it going to be ?
im thinking collingwood .
think the dogs might just roll them by the 22 points or so that they need.
think it will be a tough game between those 2 . . which can only help us.
confident we can beat either . . .but would rather the dogs run the cats around 1st week and maybe upset them . .

Why so we get the cats in the Prelim?Geezer wrote:im thinking collingwood .

I don't care either way to be honest. Just because we've had nothing to gain over the last few weeks and showed something less than the 100% commitment we've previously displayed, we've had the eye of doubt unfairly thrown over us. Bring either team on! Hopefully they've lapsed into the same false sense of security others have!

When they created LENNY HAYES (in the shadow of Harvs) they forgot to break the mold (again)- hence the Supremely Incredible Jack Steven!!

Well the way i look at it is we can beat any team any time but i think the hardest game to win will be against the Cats and i would rather play them in the GF so even if we pull up sore there will be no game after that. I wouldnt have fancied playing a top side after our last game against the cats as I think we would have lost rather easily so I dont fancy playing them in the prelim and being sore for the GF.St. Luke wrote:I don't care either way to be honest. I will just add, I hope the Doggies win this week so we play the Pies this week and not in the prelim, as there will be no prelim guest passes if we are playing the filth....

Neither the Dogs or Pies are going to be push overs.
After watching the Dogs beat the Cats last Friday night I think they are a serious threat with their speed and application. they rarely let up or give up.
The Pies haven't beaten either of the top 2 sides and only beaten the Dogs by a point but could easily win some finals.
The best senario would be the Dogs and Pies go all out and smash each other this week.
Tired bodies, injured bodies, reports .... whatever, I'll feel sorry for the Dogs but it'll work to our advantage.
Having said that, if we don't make it I want to see the Doggies go all the way.
I have a mate at work that is a passionate Dogs supporter and he desperately wants a Saints v Dogs GF for the simple fact that at least one of us will break the ice.
Can't argue with that much. If we were to lose the GF I'd prefer it be to the Dogs.

anyone hear the numbers genius on radio today?
heard a verbal report of it- he was able to give all scores from the year, any game
and said he also gets some premonitions so was asked about the Grand Final
he said; you want scores or teams as well?

Won't happen....we have the Dogs covered. And the Pies. Geelong is the only worry (and perhaps Carlton if they progress).saintbrat wrote:anyone hear the numbers genius on radio today?

Hell, let them play out a draw, get injuries and reports so what's left of them are easy pickings next week.
A bit more seriously, hope the Doggies win, but not enough to claim third spot.
That will make them more vulnerable next week because they have had to really gear themselves up for to finals type games two weeks in a row, then face up to literally a third final the following week.

Except for the sanity nothing much has been lost.

"The inches we need are everywhere around us. They're in every break in the game. Every minute, every second. On this team we fight for that inch. On this team we tear ourselves and everyone around us to pieces for that inch. We claw with our fingernails for that inch. Because we know when we add up all those inches that's gonna make the f***in' difference between winning and losing! Between living and dying!'
