Lid is off.

No reason whatsoever for supporters to have it on.

Enjoy the ride wherever it may take us at the end of the day whether we as supporters are uptight or euphoric our chances of claiming the cup are exactly the same.

Unless you are required to kick the goals necessary for us to win the cup, there is no godly reason why we must keep the lid on.

Every time we've let the lid off, we've done so prematurely.

I can thoroughly enjoy the season by taking it one week at a time.

Wouldn't you rather enjoy how we're playing each week first and foremost?

I want my grandson to ask me what it was like to win the premiership, not how we got to 19-0 and blew it.

Lid on. Keep it there.

Hmm, glad my lid stayed on.

One week at a time.

When they were keeping teams to low scores i thought this is unbeatable but over the last 5 wks they have got tired i think Coll Bull Adel Geel and Carl could easily knock us off , the saints have slipped way back lately i cant see a flag this year

You forgot to mention the other 10 teams, why stop at only 5 teams!

If you look up, you will see that the sky is falling.......

see it depends what 'off' is actually meaning....
i mean im confident
but i dont go around at work etc or when i post that we are just gonna blow
everyone away etc etc

basically im not bragging how good we are and how were gonna smash the absolute f*** out of everyone and then peeps are gonna say:

' f*** me!...lyon and his coaching staff have pulled a big one here..these guys knew what they were doing from bloody round one'
'that side s***s all over geelong..these guys could be as good as the brisbane era...look the hell out'

because saying stuff like that would be kinda silly

8-)

Why can't we enjoy each week and still have some expectation that we will win the flag.

I can't see how keeping a lid on things will have any effect on what you tell your grandchild. (I'm assuming you don't have one already so I'm not including any gender bias)

Whether you keep a lid on or not, and I think that definition is different for everyone, it will be absolutely brilliant if we win the flag and absolutely devastating if we don't.

I don't know about this lid thing, I've enjoyed this season like no other.

I do know, contrary to all the tossers in the media who wrote us off two years ago...

I think it's a shame not to enjoy the season in it's entirety....and tell me, does keeping the lid on prevent any disappointment then....I highly doubt it
