Watson It's elementary

Post: # 797859Post samoht »

In his 2 games this year against us he gathered 39 possessions and 37 yesterday after also spending some time on the bench either sore or injured.

He was always going to be their key player, he works so hard - so why wasn't someone similarly tall and strong with stamina like Blake , played tight on him restricting his possessions and pressuring him ?

Ball - his direct opponent if he was fit and firing (maybe in 2004) gathered only 10 possessions yesterday.

Our midfield was well down in general - which makes it even more important to at least restrict and pressure their main ball gatherer with a tagger.

We played into Essendon's and Watson's hands.

Perhaps he is just too good at getting the ball. Opposition teams do occasionally get such players.

Finding out who can and who can't? I suppose we'll know the outcome in his mind next Thursday.

yeah
kinda perfectionist

i mean he coulda tagged watson
decided not to
meyabe he thought 'ok, lets see whos up to it, who wants it more'

he couldve tagged him from the opening bounce.....the game result didnt really matter for us, so i think he mighta been trying a few things.

i know that ive now got my final team to 20 players after yesterday.
s*** happens
in a possie like this a loss is good
go away
re-asses
f*** records
who cares about them
study the tape
fire up
work harder

a bombers mate texted me after the game (good bloke, someone that can actually talk footy)...he said:
"now u will win the flag"

lets see what happens
8-)

So this was the loss we had to have, kind of like the recession we had to have under Keating.

Sure it was a chance to try a few things out , and who cares about records but why not also try finding out who the right tagger is on a match winner?
Now we still don't know who that person could be, next time we meet ?

.. at least "Do Something " , "Try Something".

A Keating recession we can recover from - it's all been paid for.
A Ruddcession we will never recover from - it cant be afforded ever.

I hope for the Saints sake it is only a Keating recession.
I so would like a premiership.

don't worry ..

It's a Keating Recession and we were a Banana Republic for just 1 week - just grew bananas and wore tropical shirts - and instead of thinking, creating and manufacturing we just lay in our hammocks and let the bananas grow.

sometimes you need to do that.

i think we'll be full swing into our enterprising production mode next time and kicking /manufacturing plenty of banana goals instead.
