Our No 1 Ticket Holder..........?
I have no idea who it is at the moment (please tell me it's not Molly or Sir Zelman Cowen) but could we not get a better ambassador for our beloved Saints than Eric Bana?
The campaign starts now ( unless I've missed it's kick off)!

Totally agree Eric Bana for our number 1 ticket holder this guy has done more to promote our club than anyone else.lendog heaven wrote:I have no idea who it is at the moment (please tell me it's not Molly or Sir Zelman Cowen) but could we not get a better ambassador for our beloved Saints than Eric Bana?

Ivy Moyle for our female number 1 ticket holder again a very vocal supporter of our club and 50 continous years of membership.
Wasn't Marina Prior the number one ticket holder at one point (may be going back a year or 2). Another vocal and passionate Saints supporters.
Molly seems to have jumped off our bandwagon of late and jumped on the Storm band wagon. Used to see him quite often at games but haven't come across him for a while (not saying that he doesn't go though).

I think lendog heaven means the opposite of what he/she posted.
Eric Banner would be a great #1 ticketholder.
To me, that indicates that the OP thinks we couldn't get a better ambassador than EB as our #1 ticket holder...but could we not get a better ambassador for our beloved Saints than Eric Bana?

Mitchell Banner is a young gun, got picked up by WCE I think in last year's draft.
His uncle Eric Banner is a mad Saints man, and would be a bigger drawcard than Eric Bana.

Thanks for clearing that up for me Icey. I'm not sure why anybody would be 'pumping up his tyres' to be our #1 ticket holder just because his nephew is on the WCE list, even if he is a mad Saints man?Iceman234 wrote:Mitchell's uncle.Mr Magic wrote:Who's Eric Banner i?Bernard Shakey wrote:Not if you speak English.Iceman234 wrote:The OP saysBernard Shakey wrote:The OP says we could do better than EB.

And for the poster asking about 'not seeing Molly Meldrum much', he does attend whenever he is in Melbourne and we're playing at home. Unfortunately with teh demise of the President's Lunches/Dinners he spends most games in a corporate box these days where he is not as visible.

Eric Bana would be a great #1 though, a very good ambassador for the club.
As for Molly, spied him a few times but not like the old Waverley days, when he used to just sit on those damned wooden benches and socialise with the rest of us.
A shame if he's in the boxes, cos he's actually a good bloke and seemed to like "roughing it" with us plebs.

Interesting reading on that factual site wikpedia regarding Lindsay. Talks of him playing and later becoming President of St Kilda FC.
pretty sure he was very prominently involved in the SOS campaign putting his hand in his own pocket not just then but many many times in the past.
He seems to know a jewish stocktaker given what I have read
very unfortunate in buildings burning down when he cant get by planning regulations.

What will be next from this club ?
That was me. However, if you read my post correctly, you would have noted that I did add that just because I didn't see him as much as I used to, it didn't mean he was not still there.Mr Magic wrote:Thanks for clearing that up for me Icey. Molly is not as high a profile as he used to be unfortunately. He is still a sainter, but we seem to be sharing him with the Storm these days (and when it comes to the Saints, I don't like to share....... )

Although he is sharing his passion with the Storm, I do know that he still maintains his love for the Saints.

Fox never gave us a cent during the SOS campaign, always stated that we need to surive on the strength of our members, not some cash cow throwing in millions each time we needed it.VietNam_Saint wrote:Pretty sure he was very prominently involved in the SOS campaign putting his hand in his own pocket not just then but many many times in the past.
He did other things though, like after the bank threatened to foreclose on us, come one Monday morning, he thretatened to move banks and take a few high profile mates with him.
