Congrats to Maxie on his form return from the one sub-par (that I remember) game of his career to captain and then "coach" (at the press conference, anyway) us yesterday. Hopefully no-one will be calling for him to be out of the team for this weeks game! If anyone deserves to play in a flag it's him.

And they didn't have Gilbo and Fisher helping them out as third man up, either. Maybe they'll try one of those two in a more attacking posi over the next 3 weeks. Gilbo could play on the wing, in the role Richo did last year. Running up and down the ground, taking mark after mark, helping out down back then marking up forward as well. That could be brilliant.

but apparently the bench is for midfield rotions only and two many 'defenders' is no good.
its no good when if some of the said defenders couldnt play wings or foward further
ie: chips, dawson, raph

but they could and can
so we have great options and we can keep teams guessing as to who lines up where

I think the main argument is with out full backline in, Fisher, Gilbert, Blake, it's a bit top heavy to have Max and Dawson, who play the same position.
