If you are a gun, prove it.

Post: # 791013Post ace »

All season long I have read posts about this guy or that guy being a gun.
He should be in the side and he would show how good he is.
He is better than that guy who is already in the team.

Well now they are all in the side together and if they miised out they aren't a guns holster.
Armitage, Eddy, Geary, Steven, Begley you are there.
And so are the oft maligned players like Gwilt, Blake, R. Clarke, Jones and even Hudghton

Today is the test.
The guns will show they are made of high quality steel and the rest will be seen to be gun smoke.
Never again will we need to told who is a gun.
After today we will know.

Looking forward to this game just about more than any other.

Win, lose or draw, I think we're gonna see these blokes play their guts out.

Dont forget Dempster. It'd be damn useful if he could show what Ross and many on here believe him to be capable of. He's one of the senior group today. I am sitting ready to be impressed

I watched Dempster carefully today. He's a great run-with player: enormous motor, very strong. The guys he was on (mostly Hodge, but sometimes others) can't get hold of the ball.

Dempster's only drawback is that, compared to Baker or even Jones, he doesn't amplify his defensive effort by hurting our opponents with the ball.

The question for the finals will be: do we need three out and out taggers or simply two? My answer would be: against any side other than Geelong, we could probably get away with two. Against Geelong, we will probably need three (on Selwood, Chapman and S Johnston).

So Dempster will most likely play on GF day: which means that we might all be disappointed to see a player like Dawson miss out.
