There's been lots of debate about "needing a loss" Whether we should rest players.for the finals etc. Who we are going to meet in the GF.
I dont EXPECT to win another game this year....BUT I ALWAYS BELIEVE WE HAVE IT IN US TO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This has been our best ever H & A Season (and who saw it coming back in January?)
Relax Folks! enjoy each game as it unfolds and let the season unfold as it will!

You know, we can approach this wonderful season in so many ways:
(1) Get so far ahead of ourselves that we actually miss out on enjoying and savouring the journey itself
(2) Begin to build toward preparing ourselves for some catastrophe or other that may or may not occur.
(3) Avoid reading the papers, avoid watching the sports bulletins from Monday through to friday, and simply put all the energy into game day!
No hypotheticals, just going out to the footy!
Enjoy the ride folks! Its making history!!!!!!!!!

A post made by a typical Saints supporter like me.
I think this side and coaching panel have a bit more faith. How does "fortus quo fidelius" translate again?
Sit back and enjoy, cause we can't do anything. (except sell a few raffle tickets)

I once spent a year in Adelaide, I think it was on a Sunday.

Worrying about what might go wrong instead of enjoying what is happening is something a lot of saints fans are guilty of.
It might remain that way until the second flag is finally claimed.

well said Dave!!
just think folks, if we were in the Hawks shoes at present (like we have been many times before in the past) and desperate to MAKE the finals...we would be HAVING to play these blokes with their niggles and/or due for a beneficial rest
how wonderful!!
I have great confidence in Ross & Co
and am impressed by the quality of thinking and planning gone into this team to get us where we are at present ...ie on the cusp of something great!!
and yes ...I am ANOTHER enjoying the ride immensely!!

As someone posted elsewhere, what if we still win? Boy that will upset the press, not to mention the Hawks, who one might say may be a little fragile on the confidence side.
However, while it has been a great year Dave, it will be bitterly disappointing if we don't win the big one from this point, providing we don't have any catastrophies.
Even with injuries it will be disappointing, because it will feel like once again this club is cursed and I have waited a hell of a long time too enjoy the ultimate success.
No, it wont be the end of the world, the sun will rise the next morning, but I don't want too wait another year, we are the best team in the competition this year and no other club or it's supporters have paid their dues like this club.

Except for the sanity nothing much has been lost.
