Ross: Gardiner and Zac ready - so who is out?

Ross says these 2 guys are ready to return. Zac is ideal for the talls like Roughead, Jesse White etc, kicks well and runs off. Max had a few shockinmg disposals and turnovers. Ross seems to ignore sentiment or "names". I bet he was annoyed with Max's mistakes. Commentators were saying that you dont want max with the ball.
Does he go out for zac? or drop eddie or Gwilt?
I think max is in trouble as Ross seems very keen on blake, even though others on this site are not.
( I love max , but worry he is gone when gilbo and zac return.)
and gilbo will be assessed at training.

If Zac comes back can we have all of Zac, Max and Blake in the same backline on GF day if we get that far. I dont think we can and as hard as it is to say Max disposal and decision making is ordinary at times.

Well if Max plays I cant see how Zac can play. As I have said previously they have different skills but is kicking to position more important than being a complete stopper. Even last night the Swans delibrately left max free so he would get the ball.

Last night's game did nothing to dissuade me that Max will retire this year. He appears to be losing speed and gave away a few frees for careless aggression. That spoil attempt that ended up with his arm over the other player's head isn't something we would have seen from him last year.

As much as I love Maxy, it saddens me to say I think his time is almost up.

Either BLAKE or HUDGTON out this week.. BLAKE looks to be carrying an injury and was off his game last night. Max's skills were appalling and if BLAKE is not rested Max will be lucky to hold his spot.

Raph played really well apart from 1 horrible clanger going into our forward 50 still deserves his spot.

Jones was soundly beaten last night as he went ball chasing and didn't pay his opponents the deserved respect. A classic of a guy getting ahead of his abilities and forgetting why he was in the side - again his disposal was shocking.

EDDY was found for pace off the HFF line and was chasing all night - time to bring back BALL or GEARY.

KING will be out re shoulder injury.

Kingy would have to be very doubtful with his shoulder. Milney could be in trouble because it was an umpire's report from within 5 metres. Those under the most pressure to hold their spots on last night's performance would be Eddy, Dempster and Gwilt (in that order).

I would be very surprised if Ross made more than 3 changes !!

I dont think any of them are capable of filling another role so one may have to be omitted. The good thing is we will have 4 weeks to see how it works before it really matters in the finals.
