Dislocated his shoulder, looked really bad but the medical staff popped it back in pretty quickly.

McEvoy okay, showed some improvement today with his around the ground work. One play stands out, where he passed off I think, kept running received it back and kicked a goal.

So was I.Spinner wrote:OMG King looked like a robot carrying a ditatched arm while walking off the field.....Mainly because he is so big and ripped.
More importantly I was amazed he was able to come back on.....I was fearing weeks when he went off.
I said in the thread at the time I had exactly the same thing years ago and what pain he would be in.
1 minute later had to edit it to what a sook I must have been...

I think Kingy was a really strange one.
As soon as he went off I thought Ross would put him in cotton-wool until Round 21 (best case scenario).
Given the conservative approach towards injury-management this year, I was gob-smacked he returned to the field.... Who knows, perhaps Ross was wanting to validate Kingy's ability to play with pain prior to September.
I still think there's a good chance we won't see him again until Round 21..... there's nothing wrong with Gardi & BigMac in the Ruck next week....

Failure cannot succeed in the face of persistence......
Will Gardiner be ready for next week?

We really need Gardiner back........King played about as well when he cameback on as he was before the injury......I think he has forgotton he is 6'7" and needs to take the occasional contested mark or at least impact a contest.......tonight he was woeful and we got smashed around the clearances as a result.....
McEvoy was OK at times around the ground.......Kosi was by far our best Ruck when he went in after HT....at least he contests hard and contributes something in general play...

Steven King I salute you.
I was pretty good at bagging you when you played for Geelong, but last night was extraordinary as the shoulder was popped back in. Plus there also looked like there'd been packing shoved up the nose as well.
But still when Kingy was needed out on the ground, there he was.
I'll take you one Judd and bleeding all over the ground and raise you one KING!
