JAM IT!!!..... Foxtel
Geeezzzz....
What a biased commentary.
Right down to when Alistair Lynch let's out an "on no!" when Monty picks up the ball and busts the pack in the final seconds.
As for you Dwayne Russell you TOOL..... you are the WORST football media personality going around by a country mile.... and that's not because you're anti-StKilda (even though you are).... it's because of the drivel that comes out of your mouth
I hate Foxtel commentary (except for G.Healy).
Hopefully our performances this year will ensure a heavy bias towards Channels 10 and 7 next year.

the replay isn't on till 3pm on tuesday... and unless it's game of the week they don't usually show it again.backit wrote:The only good thing about it is we get to see our side win every week sometimes two or three times with the replays!!!!!!!!!!!
and I know you have to expect to see injuries because it's a contact sport, but seeing kingy's arm like that was sickening... just show us the play!

Was the St Kilda coaching box hidden somewhere out of camera range?? All we saw all nite was Roos and tghe Swans crowd!!
I want to stand for something. I'm a loyal person and I think at the end of my career it will be great to look back and know that I'm a St Kilda person for life.

They missed a big proportion of the action.
Then they had long shots when it should have been close.
But the most annoying thing was they kept swapping camera angles - one minute we're going right of screen, then they go reverse angle and we are going left - very confusing.

I thought I was going to have to get my eyes tested as I was getting dizzy with all the camera angles and the sweeping camera moves. They couldn't keep up with the play at all. Anything "major" that happened they seemed to miss.
The commentary was exceptionally biased. If I heard them say one more time about Sydney ending our perfect unbeaten season, I was going to punch my plasma.
I am glad I am not the only one who feels this way.

All the networks are obsessed with replays now..theres nothing more frustrating than when a bloke shapes to play on after a mark or free..and they throw to a replay.
The biased commentary is a two-prong problem. Stations are saving money now by using local blokes at interstate games....mainly for colour but a few game callers as well....and in a close game their allegiances show. But the other issue is that we are 17 (now 18!!)-0 and the big story is always gonna be whos gona knock us off. Thats a problem I can live with quite frankly Every side whos been where we are now (Ess in 2000) cops the same stuff
Have a listen to some of the calls from 03 and early 04. We were stars on the rise and we got commentary seriously in our favour. The call of the 04 game v Brisbane is a great example if you want to listen

And they kept over and over showing the Sydney F@ggots brains trust - again and again - often while the play was going on.
Why would they think we would sooner see Paul Roos than the bl00dy game ?

This is the first night I've have the misfortune to watch the Foxtel coverage of one of our games and yes, it was everything everyone has been complaining about.
The commentating was appalling. Absolutely no insights at all on the game being played except the obvious.
As for the camera work, well what the hell is going on there? It seemed they only have 3 cameras on the whole ground.
And can someone tell me what is the point of showing Paul Roos on the boundary instead of showing the actual game and maybe some replays?
I am so glad we won and shut them all up. !8-0. How Fantastic!
