Schneider's Game
The transformation is complete.
When we traded for him we got a 'goalsneak' forward pocket.
Now we have team-oriented tackling, smothering, blocking, harrasing 'goalsneak' machine!
His stats don't necessarily tell you the effort he puts in and the effect he has on the game.
A true revelation is Schneider. He has become an integral part of our 'Lyon's Cage'.

Totally agree Magic.
His workrate and 2nd efforts up forward are just fantastic at the moment.
I had to find room for him in the votes last week despite some other outstanding individual efforts. I think he laid something like 8 tackles, but as you said, stats don't show the blocks off the ball, or the pressure that results in turnovers even when you don't actually lay a tackle.
I had raised eyebrows when we signed him, but geez I'm a convert now.
Love the Schneiderman!

i was thinking tonight while was watching the game. what was paul roos smoking getting rid of 2 young players like scneids and dempster when his team is clearly ageing (oloughlin, crouch, kirk, boltons) ???
he must have smoking some wacky stuff after they won the flag.

i have always been a huge admirer of the lesser players (in terms of profile) and prefer to pick them as my favourites, have always loved grammy * waits for abuse* and schneids is my boy now as well.Mr Magic wrote:The transformation is complete.

I was saying during the game, he is in our 3 smartest players in the side probably along with Goddard and Riewoldt.

I was really excited when we got him, then I got disappointed much of 2007, and now I love him as much as anyone.

He's exactly the type of player that can win you a Grand Final in 10-15 minutes. Can't replace goal smarts come September.
Was rapped when we got him. Dissapointed with his first half last year, but came good as the year went on. He's a game breaker, with another side to his game now
