Classical Gas man finally tries to play our song

Post: # 779133Post Enrico_Misso »

In however many years he has been serenading us with his one-song repertoire (actually he did add another song last year) I have never heard him attempt our theme song.
Very strange as you would think that with thousands of StK fans walking past he would try to maximinse his revenue by playing our song.

Last night he attempted it.
Pretty lame version.
And then he finished on a wrong note.
This caused much mirth amongst the crowd and he even smiled himself.

But he quickly recovered the situation
and launched into an inspirational version of
...
(you'll never guess)
...
Yep

Classical Gas :D

Oh when the Saints ..go..marching..OUCH!!

Yep..missed that last note by one fret lol..heard it too

As tunes go, OWTS is just a touch simpler to play than Classical Gas lol..I'm sure he'll have it nailed next week :-)

He explained to me one night (4 years ago) waiting for a tram that Classical Gas was "gold" to "the people".
He said that "the people" cant get enough of that tune and turned around and had me take the weight of his back pack, which would've been 30kg of change...
I wonder what that equates to in real $$ terms - must be a nice sum
...and
whether he's still enjoying such rich takings?

You'd reckon, by now, he should be able to rip out "when the saints.." without too much trouble

Almost every game I tell him to play another song and just about every time he does and yes, he always stuffs up the last note. By the way he's name is Robbie...

I heard it too, just by chance.
Isn't it amazing how close we (on satitsational) all come to each other without knowing who we are in the crowd.

Either that or he played his Classical Gas/OWTS repertoire every 3 minutes and kept getting the last note wrong.

It sounds like it might be easier for him if we changed our theme tune to classical gas.....
