Saintsational Match Thread - St Kilda vs Adelaide
And so we come to the end of yet another round. And of course, we finish with yet another twilight game.
This time we come against the red hot crows who slaughtered Fremantle last Saturday night, holding them to just one goal. It is the second time this year Adelaide has held their opposition lower to the previous lowest score at AAMI Stadium - held by us.
We had a tough match last weekend against West Coast but on the back of five minutes of brilliant footy, we won the game in the final term, with Dal Santo and Montagna in irressistable form.
This week Ball and Gardiner make way for King and Schneider, which sort of evens out considering that Gardiner and Schneider were in great form and Ball was not - King has been out for five gmaes, perhaps he'll be a ltitle rusty.
However, the ruck will not be wehre the game is won or lost. I think it comes down to the midfield. Thompson, McLeod and Dangerfield are all good players for the crows, but I think Dal Santo, Hayes and Montagna should be enough to cover them.
They also have good forwards in Porplyzia, Stevens and Tippet, who will have their work cut out for them against Fisher, Gilbert and Dawson.
Then our forward lines boasts Roo and Kosi of course who will likely take on Bock and Rutten respectively. With Milne and Schneiderman nipping at their heels. The crows won't find it as easy to contain them as geelong did, that's for sure.
I think the crows are after a really big scalp in order to show the football world they are the real deal and what bigger scalp than the undefeated side of 2009 so far?
The crows have come out hard the last few times we have played them and we need to beat them out of the blocks for a change. I am tipping it to be a pretty exciting, fast-paced game with the saints winning by under a goal - 13.11.89 def 13.6.84
