Roo's fitness at match end....
Roo looked totally stuffed when he marked and had a shot just before the end of the game.
Being 20 points up, I question why he was out on the ground, and not being rested if he was totally stuffed.
You don't leave Rolls Royce's out in the paddock when you don't need to.
Yes, a lot of players were stuffed, but with a 4 man bench, surely Roo could've had a 5 minute spell at the end!

Probably because 4 others were more stuffed.saintspremiers wrote:Roo looked totally stuffed when he marked and had a shot just before the end of the game.

He's like that at the end of every game. Leaves absolutely NOTHING out there. That's what makes him the superstar that he is !!saintspremiers wrote:Roo looked totally stuffed when he marked and had a shot just before the end of the game.

I was exhausted at the end of the game too and I only watched it on TV.
It is good to see our guys exhausted at the end of the game.
It means they did not leave anything in the tank.
That is part of the new winning culture at St Kilda.

Agree completely. My mate rang me the other week after the Richmond game and commented on how exhausted the players looked after the game. I said the exact same thing. The boys give everything this year. Can't fault them for that as supporters.ace wrote:I was exhausted at the end of the game too and I only watched it on TV.

I was at the game. Roo was sucking it up but still did his job. The whole saints side looked sluggish and I would never had guessed Joey got 43 possessions. In saying that, they played their asses off last week so there would have been some tired & sore guys today.
That first 10 mins in the last really showed character, and I think it was their fifth in that quarter which gave me a smile as the WCE supporters began to leave.
And a great show from the WA Sainters today!

When Roo took that mark the commentary made special note of how much he had just run behind play to back it up and get to the mark .. so he was rightfully stuffed from having just put in a big run ..saintspremiers wrote:Roo looked totally stuffed when he marked and had a shot just before the end of the game.

Prob the only one good bit of commentary the entire day ..

Rolls-Royce? He is way too agile to be a Rolls-Royce!saintspremiers wrote:Roo looked totally stuffed when he marked and had a shot just before the end of the game.

He has the agility of a Lotus... but more powerful... I am not sure what really suits him in the world of cars.

Good sound coming through the TV from the saints supporters too I thought. Normally you could hear a pin drop when we play interstate against an interstate team (not gold coast)SirDog wrote: That first 10 mins in the last really showed character, and I think it was their fifth in that quarter which gave me a smile as the WCE supporters began to leave.

If you thought Rooey was stuffed look at Glass.
He had only 1 kick but 14 handballs.
By the time Rooey led him to the ball Glass was to exhausted to kick.
Rooey 17 kicks, 3 handballs, 12 marks, 6 entries inside 50.
That's enough to exhaust me typing it.
If the world economy had an engine like Rooey there would be no recessions.
