Riewoldt's mark
Surprised there is not a topic on this yet
What an absolute star, set us up early with that goal. But the courage to go back with the flight, it was quite reminiscent of the mark against Sydney a few years ago.
It was a real team performance today - even though Riewoldt kicked 3 he didn't seem to be the focus when going forward. The goals were shared around - McQualter, Milne, Schnadzo and a few others all chipped in.
What a win!

I tend to agree.perfectionist wrote:I'm a bit reluctant to respond given my rather obvious adulation of Saint Nick. But, at the risk of repetition, if there has ever been a better Saints player in the my last 48 years of watching, I've missed seeing him. Right up there with likes of Doc, Stewie, McIntosh, Barker, Lockett and Winmar.
He is week in week out a top performer
I have criticised his captaincy in the past but he is now the complete package. What about his goal on the run. Brilliance, leadership, audacity.
That was a lovely goal from 55 metres, team-lifting. Sidestep and all.SaintWal wrote:I tend to agree.perfectionist wrote:I'm a bit reluctant to respond given my rather obvious adulation of Saint Nick. Thought we did look to him a touch more than required at times...but...God..what a mark that was..and anyone who says he doesnt slot the absolute crunch goals now..rocks in their head.
The complete package is our Roo..and bleeds for the Club...look at his reaction when the siren went..should have just slumped to the ground exhausted but pumped his fists hard.

Nice that our great win was bookended by two courageous, totally committed marks.Marcus1232 wrote:think gardi might have something to say about mark of the roundsaintluke wrote:Who would of thought he could top that mark...
But he did with his thumping goal....
And then that was topped with a great win by our boys...
