Why the hell was he not one of the inclusions for the team against geelong?
He got best on ground for sandy last week, if he is out of contract this year we will lose him for sure! Someone will come and grab this 21 year old with a body ready for afl!

Was very surprised he wasn't named tonight...has enormous potential IMO in the mould of Ball as an in and under
...Only 20 lets not forget
Would hate to see him lost to another team

All four players brought in this week could structure wise contribute more then Armitage (who can't play Gwilts, Raph's, Miles or even the role Eddy will most likely play this week (defensive))...Leo.J wrote:Injuries, form, structure...plugger66 wrote:Why? but will play finals same as the goose.
Armitage would be a replacement for another player, such as a Ball as he's more part of our midfield rotation...
Similar reason Geelong lost Prismall last year..
four reasons.
1. st kilda has had few injuries.
2. St kilda has many players in form
3. armitage is a long term prospect, no point in playing him the seniors for the same of playing him in the seniors.
4. armitage will be a bloody good player, but we are so used to 1. throwing our kids in at age 14 and writing them off as hopeless by 15 and that we should get a round 7 trade for them while we have value, that when we actually try and develop a player people are either calling for his immediate promotion to the seniors or offloading him to the GC17 in two weeks time.
IF we have a few injuries, guys like armitage, goose, leigh fisher, R clarke etc come into contention.
you complain incessently that the saints have no depth, when we finally do have depth, you want them in the seniors or traded off ><

With 9 rounds to go anything could happen injuries wise, structure wise and form wise.Saintschampions08 wrote:All four players brought in this week could structure wise contribute more then Armitage (who can't play Gwilts, Raph's, Miles or even the role Eddy will most likely play this week (defensive))...Leo.J wrote:Injuries, form, structure...plugger66 wrote:Why? Hopefuly for team balance not much changes, but come finals Armo and Goose could become important players depending on what happens over the next 9 weeks.
Yes but from what you said so could Miles, Steven, Raph, Eddy and so on. I was wanting to know why specifically Armo and Goose will play finals time when they havent got a game in 15.Leo.J wrote:With 9 rounds to go anything could happen injuries wise, structure wise and form wise.Saintschampions08 wrote:All four players brought in this week could structure wise contribute more then Armitage (who can't play Gwilts, Raph's, Miles or even the role Eddy will most likely play this week (defensive))...Leo.J wrote:Injuries, form, structure...plugger66 wrote:Why? I didn't say 'will' I said 'could'.

You have missed the point mate! He got best on ground! Miles and clarke did not even get named in the best! where is the reward for effort? even if he doesnt play be good to see your name in the inclusions!matrixcutter wrote:unreal

When are we going to learn to start trusting the coaching staff to make the right choices?
They've done pretty well in the first 13 weeks wouldn't you say?
Maybe they don't want a repeat of X in the prelim last year where he came for his first game of the year and got torn to pieces.
A game against Geelong is hardly easing yourself back into the firsts!

There is obviously a reason. I do feel somewhat confused though after receiving praise from coaches after last weeks game that he was not at least an emergency. Regardless of who is and who isn't picked he hasn't been named and now Saint Kilda have to prepare for Geelong on Sunday. They know who is playing and having that information will no doubt be going about there pre game routines. Dave will have to just keep his head down and Bum up and keep playing consistent good footy so he keeps getting noticed. It would be affecting him more than it does us but if he wants it bad enough he will turn the disappointment into hard football for the Zeb's
Who said Armo was best on the ground? I certainly wouldnt go with what is written in the papers but even if he was the coaching staff who were all at the ground think others will be better for team balance.sainters man wrote:You have missed the point mate!
