Is Max really injured?
You cannot help but wonder that perhaps Max was simply left out of the team due to team balance and not because of his injury.
Perhaps it was advertised that his exclusion was due to injury in order to maintain his dignity and to keep his spirits high.
Just a thought.

Posters need to watch the blues game again. IMO we would be going into the Cats game with only 1 loss for the season if Max had not playedDan Warna wrote:how was f.ebola's dignity when max kept him to 2 goals, one of which was a soft free kick, when carlton were raining goals on the saints?
I'd say Max's dignity is pretty much sweet.

Against the blues however, Max had a great match up in Fevola. No match up jumps out at you for him in this game. Hawkins is no superstar, and Max plays very much a blanket role, with no real attack. That's invaluable against a team who has a potential match winning fwd like Carlton, Brisbane and the Hawks. Zac and Blake can handle Hawkins and Fish can take Mooney. The rest of their fwd line are smaller quicker blokes. Max is fast, but he's not a great rebounder.
I reckon they would have picked him if fit, however I reckon it may be a blessing in disguise that he's not. Time will tell. Certainly will still be invaluable player against the teams I mentioned above.
Zac is a slightly less skilled defender in terms of stopping his opponent, but has become a great rebounder. WE need this more on Sunday.

So you think he will play for Sandy this week? I know he hasnt trained so they are really making it look like he is injured.ytw wrote:I didn't realize some people around here had such troubles identifying the point of my OP.
I will simplify for people.
Maybe, Max was DROPPED.
getting my drift?
no, he did not fake the injury. he simply did not fit into the line up against geelong.

So...if he was injured, not 100% fit, doesn't that mean he's out injured?ytw wrote:I didn't realize some people around here had such troubles identifying the point of my OP.

Just a thought jtw that you might be better off keeping these "pearls" to yourself to save further embarrassmentytw wrote:You cannot help but wonder that perhaps Max was simply left out of the team due to team balance and not because of his injury.
