Goose Dempster or even Gwilt or Armitage

Has geelong got tall forwards who can hurt us I put Dawson On Hawkins
Dont know about Mooney maybe goose Dempster or Gwilt do kick the ball very good and Armo might be needed in the midfield

Jack Steven has apparently been impressive at Sandy recently...would add some pace and extend the midfield..armo a chance as well.

Armo and Steven are no chance.

For mine it has to be Gwilt.

We were playing better with Jimmy than the 3 games Max has played.

I would think Armo is a huge chance.

I think that Maxies foot would have to be broken or about to fall off before he would miss this game.

If by chance he does miss, Goose in. Hawkins is slow and a lumbering giant. Goose is more than his match. If not Goose, then definitely Gwilt.

Gwilt Dempster Goose in that order. If max is out then we already have their forwards covered so Gwilt would provide a 3rd tall forward option to help negate Scarlett Taylor and Harley. If not Gwilt then Dempster as another midfield/half back rotation run with player. 3rd option would be Goose but unfortunately I cant see it happening as we are too top heavy down back if Goose comes in. The 4th option would be out of Raph Armo or Steven.

Why?

So we can go out full of false bravado on the back of Goose's miraculous recovery and Bomber can flick a quick small up forward to kick four goals before we've even warmed up?

Bring in a strong body against the country bumkins -so Gwilt (who I still think we miss in the forward line) or take a risk with Goose.

for balance (our backline was top heavy) it'd be Armo

like for like it'd be Goose.

I'd prefer Maguire but would be happy with either option.

If Max misses, it will probably be either Goose (this could be the opening they've needed to get him in, and I hope they take it) or Dempster (who could be our best match-up on Chapman, if he plays forward, or S Johnson). I could definitely see them bringing him in to play on one of them, especially if Max misses. The next option is probably Jimmy G.
I don't see them bringing in Armo or Jack Steven until we need to replace someone in the midfield, which we hopefully won't need to do.

Dempster IMO.

Goose will be exposed for lack of pace.

Not by Mooney, or Hawkins, I don't think. Neither of them are exactly Usain Bolt. Bringing Goose in would also give us that little extra excitement boost (especially our fans), given how happy so many would be to see him back (and the fact it would be his 100th game). It's not why I'd bring him in, but it would be a bonus that could make a small positive difference.
