Livewire this week or the Nixon?

Post: # 764564Post saint patrick »

Think Livewire will be very busy pregame and thought may'be the Nixon Hotel at the bottom of the steps at gate 3 might be the go this week..

Good atmosphere and reasonable rates.

Just a thought...or is everyone keener on livewire?

Will actually get there this time instead of talking about it...

Can't wait

Whats the fascination with livewire? Its nothing special by any stretch, Nixon is heaps better with better drinks and probably better prices.

Rubbish.

I was there and DID NOT see the above mentioned emoticons, undeads and monsters...

So I went up to Livewire and had a beer with real people...

You were not invited and when we saw you we ran off all holding hands and played hide and seek from you. We had a great time and we are going to catch up every week.

I wanted you to start a list of people who run and hide from you. Dont worry we let others join in we just left you out. We had 3 groups at the Locker room. The best group had 19 players out of the side before the game and were worried about the 3 they had left.

Nixons is a nice place..bar staff way more efficient, but it can get very squashed in there....much as Ive been grizzling about it I reckon stay at Livewire..if for no other reason that you are already inside the ground. I had cause to go outside about 30 mins prior to game time yesterday. Didnt realise that passout folk dont have a dedicated gate to come back in..and had to queue up with the first timers with 15 mins to the4bounce. Only just made it. Will be 20 times worse next week Id imagine

yes S66au but if we are relying on everyone to drink in Livewire i think we have problems and everyone at the club should be brought to account.

im having my own group drink at the station hotel in footscray before the game and no-one else is invited except people who have an emoticon as a middle name.

Neither Livewire or Locker room people want you anyway. Matter of fact not sure the Station Hotel will serve you either.

At this stage it looks like a quick sip and bite early at the Nixon on the way in,then a few at livewire from about 1.30-2 pm.

That should have me nicely primed by the first bounce..

We are heading up around 10 am to make a day of it...the 3 oclock start gives the pregame a bit more scope....

I'm getting more pumped by the day....

JUST 4 MORE SLEEPS!!!!!

Hope to round out the big day with a celebratory drink at the Victory room..

And yes I have arranged to have monday off

Hope to see some of you somewhere...sometime 8-)
