I have endeavoured to find a part of a quote he made prior to a milestone game last year where he said his time at the Saints was the happiest of his football career-- but it appears to have been edited out......... I wish I'd posted it when I saw it but thought "No many will not be interested "1972. Melbourne, VIC. St Kilda's Michael Malthouse

No I am pretty sure it is Harvs. If not him it could be a young Matt Young. Dont think It could be Malthouse as he is the Collingwood coach and this is the Saints forum.stinger wrote:plugger66 wrote:Robert Harvey I think but really an interesting thread.

Recruited from North Ballarat, Malthouse started his football career with St Kilda in 1972, playing 53 senior games including three finals. After being told by then-coach Allan Jeans that he would struggle to get a game in the senior side due to a surfeit of similar-skilled players, he departed for Richmond midway through the 1976 season.
Well it is actually, as it is a thread aimed at a past Saints player.plugger66 wrote:Really. So your point about this being a Saints forum and this not belonging here is - what exactly?
Ignorance is bliss - you must be a very blissful person P66.
Sorry I didnt realise a picture of a guy who played with us 35 years ago was of interest to any Saints supporter especially since he left over 30 years ago. But I must say it is a fascinating thread.Iceman234 wrote:Well it is actually, as it is a thread aimed at a past Saints player.plugger66 wrote:Really. Gee P66, maybe you should realise that a player who used to play with us and is the subject of a trivia thread, just MAY be of interest to Saints supporters - and if you don't like that, maybe you should just keep out of that thread instead of making dumbarse sarcastic comments that confirm your ignorance and arrogance.plugger66 wrote: Sorry I didnt realise a picture of a guy who played with us 35 years ago was of interest to any Saints supporter especially since he left over 30 years ago. Just a thought.
I will say what I want and you can say what you want. Great thread. Might put a picture up of Barry Hall when he was 2 and ask what year it was. It would be fascinating.Iceman234 wrote:Gee P66, maybe you should realise that a player who used to play with us and is the subject of a trivia thread, just MAY be of interest to Saints supporters - and if you don't like that, maybe you should just keep out of that thread instead of making dumbarse sarcastic comments that confirm your ignorance and arrogance.plugger66 wrote: Sorry I didnt realise a picture of a guy who played with us 35 years ago was of interest to any Saints supporter especially since he left over 30 years ago.
