nah. eddy and miles have both been emergencies quite a few times this year, i reckon they're probably still ahead of steven. but both steven and l fisher have been thereabouts the last couple of weeks in the ressies, so still a bit of competition for the next spot.thirty-seven!? wrote:I guess this would make Jack Steven next in line...

Hmmm...doesn't look like L. Fisher is a likely candidate for replacement then (not that I took that suggestion seriously, sorry).Sunday Red wrote:It's on the injury list. All be it a little vague, but it's on there:Saint Bev wrote:Are we sure this is correct, nothing from the club seems strange.

What about Steven and Miles, even Begley or Howard to release Goddard into the centre...I don't think we're at North Melbourne panic stations yet.Quixote wrote:Leigh Fisher as well??
Jeez. We mightn't have many injuries this year, but the ones we do have are all in the same area - our midfield depth.

What about the forgotten man of StKilda, Robert Eddy??
"...If there has been one recurring theme through this whole shocking mess, it has been the misguided, inflated egos and their ill-judged determination to cling to long-standing old boy friendships. The bad advice that has guided the selfish and culpable James Hird has not only punctuated this saga but symbolised it..."

Begley just isn't up to it IMO.
IMO Steven has more to offer than Eddy in the long run, but Eddy's final experience could make the difference...
Leigh Fisher has had a fair go and it is time to step aside IMO, he's just not up to it.

Maybe it was just fractured rather than broken???Moccha wrote:If your collarbone was broken I doubt you could go back on the field after having it strapped. Your shoulder would need to be supported as the collorbone acts as a tie member between the shoulder and the sternum

The most famous such injury to a Saints player was to Peter Everitt in the 1st Final of 1997. We all wish that had been a 3 weeker less one day. Alas, it was a 4-6 weeker. No GF.
