Where would we and Melbourne be now if we had hung on?

Would GT have gone? Would Daniher have gone at the end of 2006?

Freo had flogged us just 3 weeks earlier at Subi. After a hard game against Melbourne i think it would of been the same result as R19 and i still think GT would of gone.

freo would have got a hold of us! do you remember in that final at half time we had no bench and a few had to stay on the ground that were injured?
than one of the players said if they beat the dees that it would of been hard to field a team the next week.

I reckon the turning point was just before half time when Frase marked just outside the 50m line. He went back to take his kick then tried to play on to get in range, was caught, and managed to injure himself.

The momentum just drained away.
