Who to leave out....
for the massive Round 22 clash with Melbourne?
It's crucial we start planning for this game now and work out exactly who needs to perform and hold onto their spot.
If you don't want to discuss these team changes, you can guarantee the coaches are meeting about it right now.

are u friggin kidding me???????
they are looking to round 22's teamsheet already?
if theres any game they might be thinking ahead to its the round 14 clash...but thinking about round 22 in round 12 wouldnt be happening too much imo
and i wouldnt go changing the side too much unless it was necessary...i wouldnt be bringing anyone in that hasnt had a game in yonks if we are still doing well with the players on the field

So we can't talk about who will be available for selection in Round 22 but you are quite willing to discuss who will be delisted at the end of the season.
See the irony?
Fair dinkum.
Rest assured, the coaches are NOT considering for one second who they are going to delist. Nor are they considering who to select in Round 22 in my obviously absurb opening post.

The difference though being not known who will be available for selectionSENsaintsational wrote:So we can't talk about who will be available for selection in Round 22 but you are quite willing to discuss who will be delisted at the end of the season.

in round 22 through injury/suspension.
The playing list is known.
granted some may improve/fall away which may decide final delistings.

well theres a diff
re: delisting i thought x would stay (didnt RL say that?), kingy said he wanted to stay, bakes will be fine imo, and max will go on if he wants too, as if he would be delisted.
where as round 22, we could have mega injuries by then plus there is the fact of a game next week against richmond who think they are a sniff to cause some upsets and shape the 8 for the rest of the season.
i myself reckon there would be more focus on the next three of four weeks at a time.
surely round 22 wouldnt be getting looked at till around round 17ish which is 5 weeks out and injuries like hammies/soft tissue etc take about this time.
just an opinioin.
and why would u bring goose in at round 22 (lets say the team is how it is now and injuries are how they are now)....u would bring a guy int hat hasnt played for how long (?), in the last round?

we are?
i think its because we said round 22 is friggin ages away and disagreed.
while the delisting thread got more attention.
there is no comparing i reckon.
any way so we disagreed......
so why not play goose now if he is ready (and by all accounts he is) why wait till round 22?
f*** id love to see him come back in and dominate

And the end of the season isn't 'friggin ages away'?matrixcutter wrote:we are?

I threw Goose's name up to show how things can change. People think he could be delisted, but he might come back and show really good signs.
It's too early to speculate on delistings.

Why stop there - someone has already voted for the game against Richmond. Why not vote now for the rest of the games for the season. Hell - why not award ourselves the cup!
This week - This team - These players. Today that is all that is omportant!

tell that to the football manager who has to decide which managers to approach with new contracts. he can't leave everything until after the finals, because that leaves us far too open to managers shopping players around. it's called forward planning and it's part of his job.SENsaintsational wrote:You are missing my point.
There is as much relevance discussing Round 22's team as there is for team delistings.
Too much water to go under the bridge.
if you notice players getting re-signed, that's because the coaching staff have said they want to keep them. the coaching staff are thinking about who should be on the list for 2010. therefore, they're thinking a little about who should be delisted. obviously they're not making categorical decisions at this point, but you can bet they have a list of names.
