No shock there.
Actually wondering if our whole side will be suspended for Judd's little unsceduled rhinoplasty even though it was friendly fire

No we can't, but I must have been asleep over the past 48 hours because unlike the Kosi/Wakelin one last season, I haven't seen much media hysteria surrounding this one?Eastern wrote:Kosi's tackle on Shane Wakelin in last years final was similar or even a little worse. His report was thrown out by the MRP. We can't have it both ways !!
Maybe it was so blatantly obvious to the media that he wouldn't be charged so they decided not to 'highlight' it?

I was not in the best state Friday night and havn't seen the incident since (waiting for Foxtel replay) but I am sure I read a post that said he clearly saw the ball come loose and continued to polax Goddard?

Definitely two, more forceful after he realised the ball had cleared the contest.
But who gives a shite.
Maybe we'll get one go our way later in the year. Or maybe Gardi already used ours up with his single week fro an elbow to the head......Either way...

We won and we should move on.
Quote AFL site:
"Contact between Carlton’s Kade Simpson and St Kilda’s Brendon Goddard from the first quarter of Friday’s match was assessed. The panel said that Simpson tackled Goddard and pinned his left arm. Simpson’s head was positioned behind Goddard’s back, and the Carlton player would not have seen the ball had spilt free before taking Goddard to ground. Given this, the action was not deemed unreasonable in the circumstances. No further action was taken."
Just watched the replay again - and cannot fathom what vision the MRP viewed.
Clear as day. Simpson pinned one arm and on the IQ slo-mo you can see him look at the ball as it spills free and then proceeds to tuck his head into Goddards back and drive his head into the Docklands concrete.
I do not understand what "Given this, the action was not deemed unreasonable in the circumstances." What action? A two motion tackle, the second of which was a cranial piledriver?
So its now not unreasonable to perform an 'ostrich' manoveure.
Just as well it wasn't Baker.

Goddard should go direct to the tribunal and be suspended upside down for 2 weeks.
