Xavier Clarke's future at the Saints

essendon traded for a 22 year old coming off a knee reco who had only played 25 senior games in three full seasons.hotdish wrote:Good to see RL supporting Xavier. At worst the club can delist him and re-draft him for free: I don't think many clubs will be looking to draft a 25 year old coming of a knee reco who has played 48 games in 5 seasons.
admittedly prismall's injury history is not as bad as xavier's, and he was younger.
I know Kosi didn't have a knee reco but I heard very similiar things about him before this last season.
How old was Lenny when he did his knee? I know X isn't Lenny but I am sure Lenny would have been 26 at least.
Good luck X. A knee reco is terrible for this year but thinking positively it means a full pre season for 2010 and then a crack at the seniors being fully fit for the first time in ages.
And well done by RL.
Giving our players and the whole group confidence is something undervalued on here.

Lance or James??
There comes a point in every man's life when he has to say, "Enough is enough." For me, that time is now. I have been dealing with claims that I cheated and had an unfair advantage in <redacted>. Over the past three years, I have been subjected to a <redacted>investigation followed by <redacted> witch hunt. The toll this has taken on my family, and my work for <redacted>and on me leads me to where I am today – finished with this nonsense. (Oops just got a spontaneous errection <unredacted>)

Prismall is a gun, and only played limited games due to playing for arguably the best team of the last 10 years. X hasn't played due to injury.bergholt wrote:essendon traded for a 22 year old coming off a knee reco who had only played 25 senior games in three full seasons.hotdish wrote:Good to see RL supporting Xavier. All I was stating is that we have to delist at least 4 players (if we are upgrading Dawson) and as our list has good depth, it'd be likely that we delist, then re-draft him. No other club would pick him up unless he cashed $ and wanted to leave.

X getting run down by a 200cm ruckman...wow surprise surprise..Iceman234 wrote:All the best to X in his recovery and fantastic news the club is backing him.bergholt wrote:do ya reckon he did it on purpose? really?ace wrote:Wayde Skipper, you are a dog.
The incident happened right in front of me at the Willi ground.
Brilliant chase by Skipper, tackled and turned X beautifully, and was rewarded with a free.
Purely unfortunate that X twisted on the way down in a manner which did his ACL.
Immediately you could see on his face he knew it was a bad one.
The guy must have the worst awareness in the AFL.
Sadly, don't share the enthusiasm that X will ever become a decent player...

Xavier is providing special comments for the ABC Radio coverage from Darwin tonight.
Only caught what he said before the game. Is due back in Melbourne tomorrow and will start/continue his rehabilitation from Monday. Has been visiting his family.
Lost approx. 5 kilos in the two weeks post operation as he was not doing any physical activity.

X is a very skilful player & so is Raph but they both lack mental & phyical application. If Clint Jones had X ability he would win a Brownlow .The difference is that Clint is alot more resilient & is mentally stronger even though he doesnt have the skill level X has .I'm not writting X off but he will really have to have a massive change of fortune in the next 2 years or he is history
