"The Positives"
Ok the Positives from last night.
#1. A mercenary had his nose smashed to a pulp.
#2. A mono browed Fevola was maximised and left sooking on the grd at the final Siren. PS (Did anyone see Max shake his hand after the final Siren? I think he just looked at him with a look of "Cop that wanker" as he walked away)
#3. No 3 in a row for the Cheats, 12 for us.
#4. A nice long break to savior the Victory against Evil.
any more?

Once again we cop an opponent playing at their absolute best against us. Make no mistake, the Blues gave us their best shot last nite. We still prevailed and probably should have won by more. A big game, big crowd, national TV exposure - and we do what a very good, powerful team needs to do - win.
I want to stand for something. I'm a loyal person and I think at the end of my career it will be great to look back and know that I'm a St Kilda person for life.

Yep i agree, Im suprised to hear Ratten talk about the difference in the sides being the execution with the football.yipper wrote:Once again we cop an opponent playing at their absolute best against us. Make no mistake, the Blues gave us their best shot last nite.
I dont recall many/if any of our goals coming from glaring carlton skill errors??
We had to earn every single goal ourselves last nite- and im very happy with how the team played against carlton who were at 100%.
I bought a shirt from Target once.
It had a hard tag on it too.
I know how Dal feels.

Have a look at Fev's record against the recognised good fullbacks like Max, Scarlett, Fletcher, Bok and he fails to fire a shot.
He earned 1 goal last night, the other from an interchange error.
If Carlto make the finals, he will be a liability not an asset.

Except for the sanity nothing much has been lost.

The one he "Earned" was very lucky as well, ask Setanta O'Hailpin to hit him like that with a bullet again and he wouldn't be able to!!3rd generation saint wrote:Have a look at Fev's record against the recognised good fullbacks like Max, Scarlett, Fletcher, Bok and he fails to fire a shot.

But if you asked Sultana O'Hopless to hit him with a left hook he probably would get him right on the button.....hell the target is quite sizable after allTrue Blue Sainter wrote:The one he "Earned" was very lucky as well, ask Setanta O'Hailpin to hit him like that with a bullet again and he wouldn't be able to!!3rd generation saint wrote:Have a look at Fev's record against the recognised good fullbacks like Max, Scarlett, Fletcher, Bok and he fails to fire a shot.
