This week at the Tribunal .....
Would have thought a couple of Blues would be more than a touch worried.
Q1 - Simpson pinning his arms and burying Goddard's head into the Docklands concrete, after he saw BJ had released the ball, should be 2 weeks reduced to 1 after pleading guilty.
Q1 - Murphy smacking Montagna with a forearm to the head well after he released the ball. (Negligent contact = 1, High contact = 2, Low impact = 1 = 4 weeks). He will no doubt plead guilty and cop the 2 weeks.
What's not looking good for either is after both whacks, Goddard and Joey needed to go off to recover.

Just watching the replay on FOX....
Simpson will be in trouble as he saw Goddard did not have the ball and continued to bury his head into the concrete.
Murphy will be in trouble as he saw Joey had released the ball, took two steps to his right to line him up and proceeded to swing a forearm into his head.
Plenty in both.

Re: This week at the Tribunal .....
that really put bj out of business for the first three quarters. i saw him being helped off and he was virtually unconscious.SaintDippa wrote:Q1 - Simpson pinning his arms and burying Goddard's head into the Docklands concrete, after he saw BJ had released the ball, should be 2 weeks reduced to 1 after pleading guilty.
could have cost us the match and i hope someone files it away for next time.
unfortunately for the blues, juddy had to come off for a blood nose and it probably cost them the win. ironically it was bj who alerted the umpire to this potentially dangerous situation.
karma is a real bitch like that.

They are all SCUM.
The more you know, the more you know you don't know.
When I was a young child, I knew that I knew so much about so much.
Now that I am old and know so much more, I know that I know so much about so little, and so little about so much.

If you dont think many players do that you are mistaken. Without seeing in Saints players last night I would suggest we probably did it as well at one of the breaks. And I dont mean half time.SaintWal wrote:Your not serious?Eastern wrote:What about Fevola mistaking the surface for a shop window at 1/4 Time?

Oh, then again
I must admit I have not seen it at AFL level for a long time. VFL and all comps under it, definitely all the time.plugger66 wrote:If you dont think many players do that you are mistaken. Anyone know when the MRP meet? And how to find out the outcomes of their review?
More than interested to find out how they deal with the thuggery of Murphy (laying a beautiful forearm into Montagna's head) and Simpson (who tried to take BJ out of the game by pinning his arms and burying his head into the Docklands concrete even after he saw Goddard had released the ball).
Would be shocked if Murphy did'nt have a case to answer. Joey looked very dazed on the boundary and Murphy made sure he got him. Looking at the replay Montagna released the ball then a good time passed before Murphy moved to his right to deliver a swinging arm that would not have been out of place in a League game.
Let's see if Carlton gets any special treatment.

Unlike, of course, Gardiner's elbow to the back of Jamar's head...James wrote:Both foul, disgusting dog acts.
Simpson on Goddard, for mine there was definitely a second movement and Goddard was obviously semi-concussed afterwards so I suspect he;ll go up on a rough conduct charge. Didn't see Montagna.
But in the end, it's them, who cares...

Agree with that, looked like a shoulder injury to me when he went off. Thankfully he came back on and played a part in the win. Simpson should get 2 but knowing the MRP he wont even get citedGriggsy wrote:I thought it was BJs arm that was hurt. Was pinned and driven into the turf straight.
