3RD TALL FOWARD
theres talk of taking chips, bj or gilbo out of the backline.
putting them foward.
but i had a brain wave
what about dawson?
i know he is good down back,
but, good kick, confident at going for a grab
looks fast on the lead
thoughts?

Eight, but it was against Bendigo at a time when they were fielding any old local due to injuries. Don't read too much into it. Can be handy swinging forward, but I wouldn't want to build a structure around that.Devilhead wrote:Kicked 7 for Box Hill ...I thinkBowey Boy wrote:Did once have a day out in the VFL, any one know how many he kicked?

We do not need three TALL forwards..
We need 2 with a medium forward.
Many times tonight we had 3 TALL fowards as the ruckman went there...and we were too lumbering.
Structurally we functioned better with Gwilt there....or even with Charlie Gardiner....so it shows how could we could be if we could find an ok-ish medium forward.

Our attack seemed 2-pronged tonite from what I saw on the radio.plugger66 wrote:We certainly need a medium tall. We are to big in the backline and just a little small up forward. Dawson isnt what we want up forward it is more a BJ type but again I dont think it should be him. Jimmy may still be the best bet. We are also one tall to many up back but have no answers for that.
Wonder if Jimmy was missed. The ball seemed to come out quickly.
Agree about the back line. Still got doubts about Baker.

How long. Please excuse me for asking that question.Iceman234 wrote:Injured?plugger66 wrote:What was Aaron Hamill?felixleo wrote:What the hell is a medium forward? Either your a key forward or a crumbing forward who can take a grab now and then anyone else is someone that cant settle in a position on the ground.
