You are an idiot, it is quite clear that King ran straight into him. However they should contest the charge because I don think he made high contact and the damage was done whn Power's head hit the groundmordi wrote:..... is it clear that King was the instigator?

I'm not sure how the system works but surely we could argue against all three points.
He intentionally bumped him yes, but didn't intentionally injure him, if anything it was reckless.
The bump was medium impact, it seemed to be the ground that did the damage.
Leads to point three, not high contact, head hit ground, not King.
Would any of these actually stand up?
Or would the club need to go down the path of showing that both players instigated contact.

Hey Undecided.....I asked two legitimate questions that may have some relevance,
1. Did he instigate? Is it clear that he did? I dont know the vision is hopeless, and until both parties comment not 100% clear.
2. Did he blindside him? If we take the answer to point 1. as Yes, would think it is better that he didn't hit him from behind or in a position where had no idea it was coming ie. blindsided.
Sorry if you think these are not great questions, just thought I would ask.........
Anyways, as I said in another thread, lets not play the man, we are all on the same side in here.

IT'S OFFICIAL
http://sportal.com.au/afl-news-display/ ... -six-71876And the panel took a dim view of the incident rating it a level five offence - the most serious before a charge is sent directly to the tribunal for determination.
The incident was assessed as intentional conduct, high impact and high contact resulting in a base tally of 550 points or a five-match ban.
But because King has 70.31 points hanging over his head already, his overall tally rose to 620.31 points or a six-match suspension - which is the tally he will risk if he decides to challenge the case at the AFL tribunal on Tuesday night.
However if King accepts the charge his tally will fall to 465.23 points and a four-match suspension.

If we were content to go without King for a while we could be really glib and submit the Hall on Maguire and West on X hits as evidence that it was a legitimate "in play" shepherd
