What a JOKE they are trying to move you guys on. Nothing but a FARCE. The world has become such a boring and banal place, it really has. I am repeatedly amazed and bewildered by the increasing pettiness and plain stupidity of humans.

You have my full support guys! (Though the cute blond who plays the bag-pipes is offering some fair competition too... )

Nup, not allowed Dan.

All the best guys, you're great to see and hear after a match.
But is the footbridge station property?

Anyways guys, you got my support as well. Will log on tomorrow before the game to vote, whatever! Keep up the good work!

Great memories of the Buskers before and after the games. Even though I can't help much from London I hope you are able to stay put. Your website isn't working yet so can't add my support but I am sure that the Saints supporters there will help out. :)

The council had better move the seats they have dotted along the footbridge too then if they're sooooo concerned for public safety. In the few seconds it took me to walk past one of them after the rugby on Wednesday night 3 people walked straight into it.

And here lies the problem, to many dumb supporters at the footy, we all know that.

Goodluck guys, I love buskers they add atmosphere.

Dead right there, they are shin bruisers.

How pathetic that one of the few things that adds brightness and colour to our journey to and from the footy appears to be under attack from drones in offices in suits. Of course, if these people even go to the footy they arrive in cars, park underneath the ground, travel in a lift and sit in a glass fronted box with food and drink supplied.

If our "media" was any good at all, they would be all over this like a dog's tongue on a plate of gravy.

You guys are part of the furniture, stick it up the establishment.

PS Classical gas? No one does it better than our national treasure.

I love the footy buskers, it really puts a spring in the step coming out of the station and walking down the footbridge listening to them belting out our song :) Of course after the game is good also :)

Must say, am a little annoyed at the classic gas guy and the new bagpiper. Surely the bagpiper is just trying to cash in on the success of the footybuskers. Move her along i say.

The footybuskers have my full support, they are awesome. Etihad stadium can go **** themselves

No the footbridge isn't station property, that's all city council.

I agree with you snoopygirl, those benches are a ridiculous hazard which makes a mockery of the reasons they are trying to move the buskers.

This has to be a Collo instigated thing because didn't he try to put his ground security on to them last year to move them? Etihad is becoming a bigger headache to the AFL as each week passes.

This really pisses me off.

Flipping Collins and his nazi's from Jihad stadium.

FFS these guy add a bit of colour to the walk to the footy.

A few years back we took a Japanese girl who was staying with us to the footy.

She was really taken aback by the guys playing and stopped and watched them for ages. I dotn know if busking is a big thing in Japan but she seems to be pretty entralled (more so than the match - it was the night Goose broke his leg and we got beaten by WCE).

You have my support against the enjoyment Nazi's.

Really am beginning to hate Jihad stadium and the cancer who runs it.

Again, you have my support, but please try and fix the link so both myself and others can voice it.

Agree about those benches.

Nearly broke my leg on the way to a game last year. Was running late and was looking up watching the start of the game on that big screen out the front and didn't see them.

They had a sign up warning of Pedestrian Hazard
... just in case you are deaf and dumb.

Fall off another ladder Collo.

Afer the game today they had 2 witches hats and a big "Pedestrian hazard" sign next to them. I assume they were taking the pyss ;-)

Even without them though, they are 500 times more visble than "Classical Gas man" ..who by the way has reverted to his signiature tune

"Bagpipe girl" huddles next to the big red meeting pole so is pretty safe

Bring it on I say...its great having some busking to listen to on the way back to the station

Hi all, sorry about the technical difficulties with the website savethebuskers.com, I am trying my hardest to get it up and running asap!!

Basically the website will just give you a link to send an email to Kristi Franks, the Melbourne City Council person in charge of busking, so if you want just cut out the middle man and send an email of support to either kristi.franks@melbourne.vic.gov.au OR krifra@melbourne.vic.gov.au or both!

Thank you all so much for your support, I will be trying to contact 3aw and sen and TFS etc but you may not realise that its a bit harder than just calling them, we've tried for several years, but hopefully with the story in the Herald-sun tomorrow, thats right, big story in the Herald-sun, they might come to us!

Just to clear up a few things the problem is concerning after the game when we stand maybe a third of the way up the bridge, before the game there is no problem as we are actually playing on Connex/Southern Cross property and they have no problem! From spencer st to near the merchandise tents is connex, from the tents to the concourse is Melbourne City Council and the concourse is Etihad!

We mention nearly every time we speak to the council about the benches/chairs along the side, they don't care, they just wanna pick on us!! whatever......

Great to see you all today, again thanks for your support, we won't be moving anytime soon thats for sure and we count it a privilege to perform for so many awesome Saints fans!!!!

See you all Friday night!!

Add my support too - love the footy buskers. A game would not be the same without you guys playing before and after the game. I even bought the CD when it came out!

Agree with others about the benches - surprised not more people run into them - dangerous :(
