Billy Slater in a Saints jumper!

Post: # 750926Post perfectionist »

What a player, and I dislike rugby, league or union (because it has adversely influenced our game in tactics). But, I wonder what he is paid and what it would require to lure him to our code - in the Saints colours. He already has all the skills required, not to mention the attitude. I'd err on the side of caution and only pay him 10% more than our highest paid player (sorry Nick).

Spelling mistakes aside, I take it you don't rate or like the idea. Don't worry too much, my guess is that they are paid a lot more than our boys.

This is what a Wednesday will do to you if your team is on a 10 match winning streak.

The mid-week kookoos.

NRL players get paid less than AFL players. I think you have been smoking the wacky weed too much tonight perfectionist.

That surprises me given the number on each list, the fact that News Limited is still the owner of Melbourne Storm and the capacity for international competition. But if so, let's go for Greg Inglis as well.

NRL salary cap 4.1 million for 25 players = avarage salary of $164,000
AFl salary cap 8.5 million for 38 players = average salary of $223,684

Our salary cap is a lot less strict than the NRL's as well.

Convinced me. We can pay him 10% LESS than Nick - better still.

What a pity the ABC doesn't run Midsomer Murder(s) repeats on a Wednesday night.

Well from what I can gather Greg Inglis is friends with Roo and a few other boys. Also has done some tackle coaching with us over the past year. Don't know if it was a official role or not.

So ill take it Billy is from the same circle of mates?

Also maybe Brian Waldron factor involved as well as being CEO of the storm.

and Molly being the number one storm ticket holder.

alot of sainters links :)

But Billy should stick to league imho ;)

Saw Billy at the SOO game last night & actually had the thought that he could easily have made the switch & played Aussie rules. Great tackler, good kick & can take a speccy.
