Good record might get Gardiner off!
No reports in the last 3 Years might see gardi get of
It looked very bad A free kick for a high tackle Jamer did not come of the ground injured and played the rest of the game alright.
If it was nasty the umpire would have reportrd him on the spot.
you must judge on normal speed and not slow motion speed

To get High Impact on a High Contact, you would need to KO the guy. That didn't hapen. Jamar didn't even remonstrate !!Animal Enclosure wrote:In play

High
Without knowing the weighting for each I'd say he'd get 3 weeks & reduce it to 2 weeks with a guilty plea.
A stupid act, luckily he hit Jamar in the back of the head.

Very very similar to an incident between Sam Mitchell and Bernie Vince (i think???) yesterday. Vince ran past, Mitchell stuck out a chicken wing and made contact with his elbow to vince's head. Vince went down, but got up and carried on without any problems.
Will be very interesting to see how the MRP view each case....

No such thing as "in play" anymore (not since the Hall - Maguire debacle).
Factors are:
Conduct (Intentional, Reckless, Negligent)
Imact (Severe, High, Medium, Low)
Contact (High/Groin, Body)
Gardiner will be assessed, IMO, as Reckless conduct, Low impact, High contact resulting in a level 2 offence. The charge will be striking and carries 125 points. With a good record he have the points reduced to 93.75 and to 65 with a guilty plea.
In short, he will be charged and reprimaned.
If the impact is deemed as medium then he will earn 225 points and a good record and early plea will see him get a week off.

Unlike Altar Boy Mitchell to snipe like that...St Chris wrote:Very very similar to an incident between Sam Mitchell and Bernie Vince (i think???) yesterday. In Mitchell's defence, he did seem pretty surprised that he made contact. I think it was just one of those things to put a more effective shepherd in and make his opponent run around rather than taking the straight line. But i agree - hardly a angel is Sam. I think he has 90-odd points still hanging on his head.Thinline wrote:Unlike Altar Boy Mitchell to snipe like that...St Chris wrote:Very very similar to an incident between Sam Mitchell and Bernie Vince (i think???) yesterday.
