Once again knock yourselves out kids
Saints still undefeated sitting top of the ladder
Loving the way that we have lost completely all form yet are still winning against desperate sides with nothing to lose

Yes we are undefeated, only the 2nd time in history we have won 10 in a row, next week we can set a club record on consecutive wins.
But in the last three weeks our scores have got progessively lower, we haven't kicked 100 points more in 3 weeks.
We played the bottom team and we played poorly, very poorly by our standards.
Trust me, we bring that to round 14 and Geelong will rip us apart.
But we are still winning despite a form slump, but we better get it back, North will test us a little bit more next week, then we got the scum.
I want to keep the streak against them still going.

Except for the sanity nothing much has been lost.
Just a guess but I feel that we must be hitting the weights really hard before the mid season break. I expect a lul in our form leading up to the break. We do look a little flat and I think this would explain it as well as setting us up for the business end of the season.
Sam Gilbert you are an EXCITEMENT MACHINE!

Yep, we better start tanking now before it's too late.3rd generation saint wrote:Yes we are undefeated, only the 2nd time in history we have won 10 in a row, next week we can set a club record on consecutive wins.

Understandably, most Saints fans aren't interested in anything less than winning a flag.
The signs over the past month, and patches before that suggest that there are some problems.
They have every right to be concerned and express those concerns.
How far down the rabbit hole do you really want to go?

10 - 0. I'm very worried, we should be at least 12-0 by this stage of the season.Violent Stool wrote:Only 1 unavailable player on the Saints list and beat the bottom team by 6 goals? Can't kick 100 points against them.
Hmmmm, some concerns I would think.
And only 1 unavailable player?
Would that be Milne, Clarke, Allen? Dempster of course was ready to step into the team after 9 months without a game.

To those who wanted a 100+ point win, I really don't think it is worth the risk pushing so hard to achieve it and risking more injuries and the extra fatigue for the next week. It is a marathon remember and we are no even at the 20km mark yet.
Also the person that mentioned extra weights training. Maybe this is occurring? It would explain the extra touch of fatigue we may be having and if this is happening then it can only benefit us later in the season. I am pretty sure Adelaide did something similar in the seasons when they won the flags. But I think they did this later in the season. Having said all that the article the other week mentioned that they were spending more time recovering during the week. I guess time will tell.
I am also happy that Gilbert was ok, it looked for a short time like Max or Goose would get their chance.

yep we are realy "concerned" ...you wish!Violent Stool wrote:Only 1 unavailable player on the Saints list and beat the bottom team by 6 goals? Can't kick 100 points against them.

don't know much about the modern game obviously
We didn't have to kick 100 pts against a team that after 1/4 time was solely intent on preventing us from scoring
What did they kick in the last 3 quarters ?? couple of behinds was it?
crawl back into your hole mole!!!
and whoever you actually follow (unless its Geelong, in which case we can see where you are timidly coming from,) they have a big lot of catching up to do to get to our ordinary standards by your definition then eh?
