Congratulations Zac and Farren

Both have started their careers with 9 wins for the Saints.

As far as I can tell, they have equalled Brad Campbell's club record.

I don't know of anyone else who started with 9 wins or more at St.Kilda

Good stat. I'm sure we've had players at the Saints who never had 9 wins in their career's with us.

There are players in the team that would have taken three or four years to clock up nine wins with the Saints.

There are players who played between 83 and 85 who could have played every game in that time and only had 9 wins.

Brad Campbell- now there's a blast from the past. Number 41 if I remember correctly.

I was pleased with Ray's skill and ferocity in the critical stage of the last qtr. He was tigerish.

No he wasn't, if he had been we'd have been in real trouble. ;)

Nope - too old.

Gotta be under 21 at the start of the year and have played less than 10 AFL games. Geary just scraped in.

I read the article a few weeks ago by Mark Stevens I think about how Ray was the best recycled recruit ahead of Shaw at Sydney.

I think Ray has been brilliant this year but after watching yesterday's game I think Dawson has been slightly better. He has been good this year against all of the power forwards but was ridiculously good yesterday. Some of the best spoils, marks and positive ball movement you could hope for.

Two stars of the future for the club.

I have been really pleased with these two pickups this season, particulary Zac who had a lot to prove. I really admire the way he backs himself and goes about it with a sense of arrogance, it's really promising and shows he has the confidence in himself to really win the contest. It's a great sign in a relatively young player and he's proven to be extremely capable against quality opposition.
Ray on the other hand has exceeded expectations in that he finds a lot of the footy, takes a strong over head mark and has quickly lost any "Sharon" nicknames thrown around similar to that of "Fiona". I for one thought he could well be the next Fiora, and i am glad to be proven wrong.

Given what we needed to turn our defence in to the number one outfit, they are gold. Remember Geelong's backline has had 31.6% more kicked against it than ours this year and yet I don't hear Geelong fans calling for 3 or 4 players to be dropped from it. The reaction to the success of our backline from our supporters has been quite bizarre really. Some are almost willing it to fail.
