Ageed..Id try and let Thomas and Joey go head to head..make Thomas accountable (which he isnt) and hopefully watch Joey rip em a new one.saintbob wrote:Spot onsaint66au wrote:Tag Swan and Davis then then let them worry about us I reckon!!!
Although I reckon there will be a few match ups, Baker - Lockyer, Ball -Pendlebury and Gilbert - Medhurst (Doubtful).

Whoever does only needs to take a mirror on to the field, Thomas will lose himself in it.
It's all about the highlights for Daisy, if it's a simple chest mark he'll find a way to roll on the ground, if he's running through the 3rd row of seats he'll hold the ball outstretched and feign astonishment it was called out as he could have run the field (via the media centre) to kick goal of the year.
Has talent but too concerned about making what he does look spectacular.

I would have thought Pendlebury and Swan along with neon Leon would be our main targets. They are the keys to the Pies in any week. Stop those three - and it will be goodnite Pies.
I want to stand for something. I'm a loyal person and I think at the end of my career it will be great to look back and know that I'm a St Kilda person for life.

I think CJ should go to Pendlebury - he is their most damaging player in the midfield. I think Swan racks up a hell of a lot of hte ball, but isn't always damaging with it, he likes to find space and present a link option. In an unusual move, I'd almost suggest Gram to Swan - really try and exploit his lack of defensive awareness.yipper wrote:I would have thought Pendlebury and Swan along with neon Leon would be our main targets. I wouldn't worry to much about Daisy, I'm not being disrespectful, it's just he isn't that good. Leon, Swan, Pendlebury are the main culprits to stop.
Cj v Leon (similar to pearce)
Then I'd have someone run with swan (montagna)
Another go head to head with pendlebury (hayes)
I actaully think Malthouse will use Daisy as a defensive forward, Can see him playing on the likes of gram, and try to stop his run from half back, they used Daisy like this against Adcock I think it was.
They have to worry about stopping us, not the other way around.

He does actually:Nattens wrote:Theres a reason Leigh Matthews doesn't have Dale Thomas in his dream team
B: Goddard, Gram, Gilbee, Drummond, Mackie, Hill, Pettigrew, Goldsack, Raines
M: Corey, Hasleby, Rich, Ziebell, Reilly, Dangerfield, Robinson, Ebert
R: Cox, Kreuzer, Meesen, Leuenberger
F: Higgins, Richardson, Houlihan, Franklin, Dale Thomas, Anthony, Mitch Brown, Grant
I think Bakes will probably take him if he's up forward. Those who are doubting Thomas have obvious forgotten that he absolutely slaughtered us at least once in the past.
Yeah nah pleasing positive

Spot on. Obviously the usual cliche about turning up and respecting your opponent but these three provide the drive for this side and have awesome skills. Must plan for them carefuly (such as the semi-final last year!yipper wrote:I would have thought Pendlebury and Swan along with neon Leon would be our main targets. We have to pay them loads of respect otherwise they will have a chance!
Gilbert to Thomas
Blake to Cloke
Dawson to Rocca
Baker to Medhurst
Jones to Davis
McQulater to Shaw
Geary to Corrie
Eddy to Lockyer
Hayes to Pendelbury
Ball to Swan
Let them then worry about Dal Santo, Goddard, Gram, Sam Fisher, Montagna, Ray, with Marty Clarke, Wellingham, Toovey, Barham, Beams, Macaffer etc
