no talk of X or armo

Post: # 732111Post MC Gusto »

interesting times at st kilda. it is going to be really tough for either of these two to break back in to the team. based on VFL you would say X is ahead of Armo but i reckon it is going to take an injury or really poor performance from a similar player in the 22 for either of these guys to get a start.
Raph i am thinking is potentially 1 week away from being truly match fit.
Still on performances like the past 5 - who do you drop?? What a conumdrum.

IMHO bloody good problem to have.

We have AFL level players with great experiance playing in the VFL because our 22 has been performing at a high standard week in week out.

Again bloody good problem to have as far as I can see

I watched sandy on the weekend and I wouldn't bring them in.

Armo: looked very good but at least a few weeks of full fitness
X: was struggling with his running, looked very laboured, is a few weeks away as well.
Raph: looked good, really good, however a couple bad decisions won't of helped.
Goose: will only come in if we get injuries. still a fair way off adjusting.

it's the same problem that geelong had, even now their emergencies for a couple of weeks ago were lonergan and gamble. also d johnson, byrnes, prismall, tenace, etc were out of their side, and most of them would be in the starting 22 for lesser clubs.

Because the saints are playing late on Sunday, any emergency left set aside for the Saints will miss the VFL game. I would argue that it's imperative that X and Raph string continual games together, and perhaps the younger Armo could benefit from a week off.

Barring injury X, Raph & Armo will be in our finals team IMO. All 3 are in our best 22 IMO.
