As far as I know the tickets arn't for sale yet? Last year our seats were in Stand 2, Row A, Seat 21. In the past our seats have always been alloted in the same area, no guarantees of course. I wouldn't expect it to be a sell out, so if people are happy to leave booking their tickets to the last minute I can advise when we get our tickets.
You can of course buy tickets prior to the game, but it is a long wait and I have known alot of people to miss quite a bit of the game.
The bus leaves from Pacific Fair Shopping Centre, which is in Broadbeach opposite the Casino.
We meet at the Emerald Lakes Golf Club, opposite Carrara Stadium for pre match drinks and the Liars Bar in Broadbeach for post match drinks.
Hopefully we will have a breakfast with the players, but not confirmed at this stage.
Any questions, I will do my best to answer.

AFL usually give us our tickets in the same area. Last year our tickets were in Stand 2, Row A. No guarantees of course. If you are not in a hurry and don't mind waiting. I can let you know when they are allocated. However, I think it will be a predominately St Kilda crowd anyway.

Bumping this thread
Only a couple of weeks away ,so I better start organising myself..
Does anyone know what the scenario is with tickets? As it's our home game will we be able to just walk up to the gate and get in with our membership,or will we have to book seats or some other BS AFL ticketing scandal? I'm not going to book seats if we can just get in with our memberships, or is it likely to sell out?

no chance of a sellout. went to the game last year (whilst i lived on the goldy) and just walked up and got a ticket half hour before game.
after a stirring comeback . . . the liars bar was pumping afterwards.
lucky to get 12000 there . . . no matter how well we are playing.
easy to get too. but take the bus . . . . footy shuttles leave from pac fair broadbeach and surfers paradise and return afterwards. the place is hell to get away from if driving.

More advice on ticketing please from local knowledge....
I don't know the stadium set-up at all, and would like to pre-book decent seats under cover - for my son and I and an older gent who's a Dees supporter.
Any suggestions?
Edit - sorry must have missed the Stand 2 Row A post from SaintBev

Thanks for the reply's.
Stupid question...does anyone know what the right hand side of the tv screen end is called?
Looked like we're all the supporters sat/stood at the blues/freo game saturday night,so might be the best area for atmosphere and banter with any demons giving the snow a miss for the weekend

Carlton v Freo was a sellout, I'm told.Geezer wrote:no chance of a sellout. went to the game last year (whilst i lived on the goldy) and just walked up and got a ticket half hour before game.

Saints have quite the following up here. Don't assume you'll be a walk up starter. IMO get a ticket.

Seats are great if you like an elevated view of the ground, yet still close to the action. Love the old stand as you can stamp your feet and make a hell of a noise. God we had that place pumping last year!
Carlton Freo game wasn't a sell out, but a bigger crowd than we had last year. Capacity is about 14,000.
My suggestion is to buy your tickets before the game as I have met so many people who have been stuck in lines and missed the beginning of the game.

I see they are selling tickets in the east now, they look better seats, i think its stand 13, is this near the bench or is the bench on the west side?
